Speaking to TV Guide, the talented and lovely Emily Bett Rickards discusses her role in the CW's number one show, Arrow.

On Felicity Smoak's role in the group.
Emily Bett Rickards: Rickards: It creates a certain dynamic that was different from what Olivier and Diggle had because she's the polar opposite of Diggle in a sense that she hasn't seen anyone die and this isn't actually her regular day job. Her role now is to help them solve different crimes in Starling City as well as creating a different balance to the group that the audience, and Olivier and Diggle, will enjoy as well. She's got that awkward, quirky spunk. As much as she's socially inadequate, she's always so gung-ho to hack into something. She's really smart. I find her emotional depth and her emotional capacity interesting because she's so socially awkward.

On fan reactions and the hope that Smoak and Oliver will become a couple.
EBR: Yes, Olicity, I think it is. [Laughs] It's hard to say if there's going to be a love interest/crush/relationship, but the relationship definitely starts to change. Oliver has a lot of walls, but with the biggest wall down and that secret out there — even though he still has secrets from everyone — it allows Felicity to see Oliver more clearly. Now they can be a little bit more open with each other and that's bound to change something in their relationship.

On the return of The Huntress and where they places Smoak in the group dynamic.
EBR: How the Huntress comes back is a really fun and interesting episode. It's very action-packed. It was such a fun episode to shoot. I think Felicity is questioning her. She doesn't really understand who The Huntress is or where she came from. How does she know and I didn't know about her?! There's also the underlying fear because The Huntress is very intimidating.

Catch Arrow Wednesday at 8pm PST/EST on The CW.

I just don't understand how they will stretch this to two seasons. It's already kinda getting stale. I watch it when I get time, but I certainly am not DRAWN to have to watch every week like the Walking Dead.

Only great part of it is Ollie's sister in short dress of the week :) Amazing legs.

Personally, Walking Dead doesn't interest me at all.
I mean, i'm not comparing it to Arrow, but there are much better series out there.
Anyway, it/s a CW show and you HAVE to expect some teeny bopper elements in Arrow, BUT, all things considered, it's still a GREAT show! It's far better than Smallville.
And getting stale? Dude, the last 4 episodes alone have been more intense than what came before. it's getting more juiced up, if anything.

Good episode, just that they really need to make the villians memorble and stop killing them off like deadshot and firefly.

Like i said....I watch it. Watched Smallville for 10 seasons too. Does not mean I can't want more for it.

I do want it to do well. Still watch Supernatural and I tell people all the time they should have ended it with the original 5 season arc that was written for it.

I'll preface and say, I loved Smallville for the most part, but hated Chloe after about the 3rd season. Felicity isn't and cannot be the "Chloe Sullivan of Arrow" She EXISTED IN THE COMICS. If anything, Diggle would better fit that "role" since his character was created for the show and named after one of writers of the Comic. Though Diggle is friggin awesome.

She's a fun character. I wonder how her and Huntress will play off of each other, and if this will bring her more into Ollie's world. Felicity and Laurel BFFs? Haha
