FanExpo '13: Watch Stephen Amell Discuss ARROW Season 2, JUSTICE LEAGUE & More

In this interesting panel from Arrow's Stephen Amell, the moderators and crowd dissect him for as much information as possible. He also shares some thoughts on whether or not he could be in Justice League, which surprising name needed to approve The Flash appearing and teases whether or not Barry will have actual superpowers, so check out some text highlights and watch what you can below!

- Season 1 picks up 5 months later, STarling City is in close to a Police State. Quentin Lance, Laurel and Thea get new jobs. Moira is now in prison. Felicity is "a lot sexier".

- DC characters "everywhere." They gave them the "car keys" of the universe. Bronze Tiger, Sebastian Blood, The Flash, Isabel Rochev are only the start. We see Black Canary "almost immediately".

- He's up to reprising the role of Oliver Queen in Justice Leauge.

- They needed approval all the way up to Christopher Nolan to use Barry Allen on Arrow because he's the big guy when it comes to "all things Warner Bros and DC"

- Says he won't be playing Christian Grey in Fifty Shades Of Grey; "I don't forsee myself being involved in that project"

- Says he'd like to play General Zod or The Riddler. Says Jim Carrey would've been great in the Nolan trilogy.

- Thinks that Nolan's Batman trilogy is the greatest in superhero cinematic history.

- Finale budget wasn't more costly than any other episode

- Says "No Comment" on whether or not Slade Wilson will be in present-day Starling City.

- There will be more hints towards "Olicity" becoming a reality.

- There was no pressure becoming Oliver Queen. David Nutter (who directed Game Of Thrones' Red Wedding and the Arrow pilot) told Stephen that he cast the majority of CW genre show stars (Welling, Jared & Jensen) told Stephen that he's the guy for the job.

- Who'd win in a pull-up contest? Stephen Amell or Ben Affleck? Ben probably could.

- "I've never seen one minute of Smallville", didn't take inspiration from Hartley. Took it from Gus from Breaking Bad

- The idea behind season 1 is that superpowers didn't exist. That idea is no longer existent.

Good show. Just wish they would drop the soap opera feel to it. Oliver doesn't need a new girl friend every 5 to 7 episodes.

Felicity is sexier?

This is what I'm worried about. They're gonna turn her into a bimbo simp so fanboys can drool over her. :(

I liked her before, she was more down to earth and cute.

I'm with cherrybomb. Felicity was fine just the way she was. Also, she looks better with glasses.

Please, please, please don't let Nolan have that much power over the movies. Quite frankly, that's scary. I liked the TDK trilogy, but not enough to want him to have total control over what happens in the DC universe.

If they do add Stephen Amell to Justice League, then Barry Allen from JL needs to be the same Barry Allen from the show.

Batmaniac

I've gone through many picks. My main guy, Liam McIntyre, ain't Batman but I'm still happy.

Oh boo ho I didn't [frick]ing grow up reading comics. Past couple years I've picked up many comics and read them. If that's the only comeback you got it's weaksauce.

If Goyer/Snyder can get both Nolan and Affleck involved in the script, then the movie would have potential to be amazing.

Cumberbatch was my first choice as Batman. I think the dude could pull of a scary Batman without even trying. And he has the acting chops for Wayne.

@Firgosaurus I always thought Barry Allen, but if they are doing a TV series on the Flash, I'm pretty sure they will go with a much smaller name.

Please Batmaniac I've heard them all. Try to insult me. You can be smarter than that.

And my fav fic in no one is a love letter due to the fact Barry Allen is my main character in it and wasn't in the DCAU.

So come on, step your game up.

Cranston for gordon, Strong for luthor, unless they include the GL movie as canon which I'd be fine w/ cuz he was perfect as sinestro. Oh, and Amell's awesome, hope they use Arrow as canon.
gmoney0505
gmoney0505 - 8/26/2013, 3:57 PM
Mark Strong makes a better Sinestro than he would a Lex Luthor. He is Sinestro from the looks all the way down to the way you would envision him speaks

Is the Cranston as Luthor news confirmed and if so, why hasn't anyone posted an article yet?

It's not that Barry is the lead is that he has to. Superman may be the leader but Barry is the most human of the team. He along with J'onn could be said to be the heart of the team. I mostly have Barry as the heart of my team. He has doubters.

Hal thinks he's in over his head, Batman thinks he trusts people too much, Superman thinks he's gonna get himself killed, Wonder Woman thinks he won't do what necessary.

Have Barry as the heart of the team for the first film just works. Of course he's not the main guy in the second but Barry does fit.

As for Arrow, The show is very great. Yep villains gets changed. Some a hit, some a miss. But the overall story line throughout the season and them always keeping you up to your toes is what made season 1 a hit. All those episodes was worth the wait especially to see the last 2 episodes. This show has the right person to play Oliver in any medium I love9He played him in Injustice too) and the right guy to play Slade Wilson I would love to see in movies. Jon Barrowman is the truth, Manu Bennet is the truth, and Amell is the truth to see him grow as an actor from episode 1 to 23.

and again ARROW ACTION!!!!

I'd be OK with Amell in Justice League, Arrow is a great show and why recast the character. Same thing with Flash, why cast another actor for the movie?
