Felicity Smoak Will Have A New Romantic Interest In ARROW Season 2

Arrow executive producer Andrew Kreisberg reveals that there's going to be a threat to Olicity in the show's second season which comes in the form of a "surprising love interest" for Felicity Smoak.

Arrow fan favorite Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) will be more vocal about her feelings for Oliver (Stephen Amell) in Arrow season 2. Andrew Kreisberg disclosed, "I think a part of Felicity’s arch this season is realizing that she can enunciate her feelings for Oliver — not necessarily to Oliver, but you know, I think she’s going to be dealing with that." But he followed that statement with the revelation that another fella will eventually catch Felicity's eye. "Felicity is going to have a surprising love interest this season coming down the pike," he teased. Who could it be? Perhaps Diggle (David Ramsey), after all 'Delicity/Figgle' is a growing movement. Or maybe Roy Harper (Colton Haynes), although that's unlikely, considering his relationship with Thea (Willa Holland). There's also the chance that Felicity just has a thing for superheroes and she'll become smitten when Barry Allen aka The Flash makes his guest star appearance.

As far as Oliver's love life is concerned, comic book fans know that he's destined to become an item with Black Canary but now we don't know which Lance sister that will actually be, which is exactly what Kreisberg teased. "I think that any woman on this show whose last name isn’t Queen is a potential love interest for Oliver. Part of the fun of these early episodes is seeing that there are some new women and old women in Oliver’s life and guessing which way the arrow of his heart is going to take him."

"After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the Pacific. When he returns home to Starling City, his devoted mother Moira, much-beloved sister Thea, and best friend Tommy welcome him home, but they sense Oliver has been changed by his ordeal on the island. While Oliver hides the truth about the man he’s become, he desperately wants to make amends for the actions he took as the boy he was. Most particularly, he seeks reconciliation with his former girlfriend, Laurel Lance. As Oliver reconnects with those closest to him, he secretly creates the persona of Arrow – a vigilante – to right the wrongs of his family, fight the ills of society, and restore Starling City to its former glory. By day, Oliver plays the role of a wealthy, carefree and careless philanderer he used to be – flanked by his devoted chauffeur/bodyguard, John Diggle – while carefully concealing the secret identity he turns to under cover of darkness. However, Laurel’s father, Detective Quentin Lance, is determined to arrest the vigilante operating in his city. Meanwhile, Oliver’s own mother, Moira, knows much more about the deadly shipwreck than she has let on – and is more ruthless than he could ever imagine."

People complain that there is too much 'drama' on this show...DUH! It's a dramatic series! Go back and read all of the old Stan Lee comics. They were soap operas mixed with super heroes. That's how it SHOULD be! The show has an audience that wants action and comic book stuff(Me) but it ALSO has a large female audience and people who tune in for the romance and dramatic aspects of the show. They have to cater to both and in my opinion, on a tv budget they are doing an EXCELLENT job!!

Yep its more of a soap opera since 85% of the show focus more on Oliver and his mission than the soaps part. Yep that takes majority of the show time there.

@bropous
Watch it ad judge for yourself.

I agree that it should be Diggle. They both have great chemistry with their scenes together. They need to drop the dead brother girl relationship with Digs and let him get someone outside the family. It was weird for Oliver to date 2 sisters then you gonna do somewhat similar with your next fan fav character. They should have dropped that round episode 12.

Why can't Ollie just be with Laurel already... the whole love tryangles are becoming soap operaish. IMO

Of course she is hot she is on the CW. They don't get any ugly people on the CW unless the character is supposed to be ugly. The entire cast of Arrow and Vampire Diaries are all extremely good looking people. CW is the only place where the brainy computer hacker is hot.

She's the sexiest woman on TV. It would be cool if she starts dating the Flash, and throughout the Flash show she'll make a bunch of cameos.

@ WingHeadAvenger:

The problem isnt the soap operas, but the poor dramatic execution (story & direction) & acting especially the main actress laurel, whose been usurped by a supporting cast member turned regular: because Emily Rickards brought something to the show, other than a face lift..
- it's the opposite of the guy pining for the hot girl next door arc - the girl's the underdog!

@milling Y E S. She already reminds me enough of babs anyway, so that would be a+. I wouldn't mind diggle or barry though, that would be cool. Waiting for the day they bring helena back and make a birds of prey episode (or storyline) with laurel/felicity/helena.
