The CW Network has given early pickups to three of its hit series for next season, including freshman hit ARROW, its top-rated drama THE VAMPIRE DIARIES and fan favorite SUPERNATURAL, it was announced today by Mark Pedowitz, President, The CW. All three shows will return in Fall 2013.

"We said last year that one of our goals was to establish building blocks to grow on, and now with our new hit ARROW and fan favorite SUPERNATURAL on Wednesday night, and the continued success of THE VAMPIRE DIARIES on Thursday, we’ve been able to do that," said Pedowitz. "Not only do ARROW, SUPERNATURAL, and THE VAMPIRE DIARIES perform well on-air, they’re also extremely successful for us both digitally and socially. I’m thrilled to have all three shows returning to our schedule next season."

One of the true breakout hits of the season, ARROW posted The CW’s best series premiere since 2009 and currently stands as the network’s most watched show (4.3mil). Heading into its fifth season next fall, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES remains The CW’s highest rated series in target demographics, including adults 18-34 and women 18-34. THE VAMPIRE DIARIES also continues to be one of the network’s top performing shows digitally and socially; in fact, THE VAMPIRE DIARIES recently topped Trendrr’s list as network TV’s #1 social program for the week of January 21–27.

The Winchester brothers of SUPERNATURAL will continue to fight the forces of evil for a ninth season. Since being paired with ARROW on Wednesday this year, SUPERNATURAL has seen a dramatic uptick in its ratings from last season, rising 15% among total viewers, 10% in adults 18-34 and 18% in adults 18-49.

Besides his mom, sister, and friends who have all these stupid CW soap opera relationships and shit this show is awesome. Don't mind that he kills people at all.

amell's acting is so bipolar. he is great when he is 'drunk' and is really convincing in those flashbacks. but most of the time he is so robotic and unnatural.

That's 10 minutes of awesome a week. Seriously, this show is not good, well, at least the first 4 episodes I struggled to get through. Wouldn't recommend this show for anyone, especially a comicbook fan.

It's a pretty good show, but are we going to have to wait four or five seasons before they call Green Arrow?

Oh Boo Hoo. Everybody loves this show. That's why it's such a hit.
Seeing as how it's a CW show, there's somethings that just HAVE to happen, like the relationship issues, but they're something that are EASILY overlooked. It's a great show!
And Stephen Ammell is good too. Unnatural and Robotic? Not in the last 5 episodes, ever since he met Huntress. Otherwise he was exactly as he was supposed to be when alone with his Alfred...i mean Diggle...A cold, ruthless man on a mission.

In fact, he juggles 3 ROLES at the same time!
initially the Cold, Island Green Arrow, then Jersey Shore douche Ollie, and the Ollie who just wants to pour his heart out to those closest to him without alienating everyone. It's really awesome to watch.

I just wish the villains he faces wouldn't die by the end of the episode. Would be nice to see some recurring villains besides Malcom "Ass-chin" Merlyn.

@rebellion: I noticed that about his acting too. I'm starting to think that he's playing present-day Oliver like that on purpose, to (attempt to) show that he was damaged by his time on the island, acting all reserved and awkward, and hide who he really is. It just comes off wooden.

Awesome! I love this show! I know several people who watch this show, that have never read a comic book in there life. That's what it takes to make comic based shows a success.

Good, I actually like this show quite a bit. Which is saying something because I was completely against it from the beginning. It has proven me wrong

@LEVI: Jesus dude, just because he doesn't like the show it doesn't mean he is being a "Marvelite." Relax

delighted about supernatural, loved that since day 1.

was surprised at how much I like Arrow, glad they've got another season. Amell is good but another season gives him time to improve his acting, cant wait for more Diggle and Colton Haynes,

Sounds like Good news!
