The CW Renews ARROW For A Third Season; SUPERNATURAL To Return For A Tenth

We're still waiting to hear if Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be renewed for a second season, but TV's other major comic book adaptation is set to return for a third year, along with other CW series' Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries and more. Read on for details!

The CW confirmed today that they have renewed Arrow, Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries for the 2014/2015 season. They'll be joined by The Originals and Reign. "This season we’ve had great success with our new hit series ‘The Originals’ paired with ‘Supernatural,’ giving us our best Tuesday nights in years. ‘The Vampire Diaries’ is No. 2 in its time period in the young adult demos, and with ‘Arrow’ continuing to gain among young men, and ‘Reign’ growing its time period, we now have strong nights on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday," said The CW’s president Mark Pedowitz in a statement released today. "I’m very pleased to announce early pickups for all five series, and let our fans know they’ll have more great drama to look forward to next season." Other shows like The Tomorrow People may still be renewed, but the network are waiting to make those decisions until closer to its Upfront presentation to advertisers in April. Exciting news, especially as this Fall will also see the debut of a certain Scarlet Speedster...

I just want to see more Arrow specific villains next season. Not complaining, there is just a lot they haven't done a lot with that would fit in this world.

According to Amell Arrow will take 5 season to explain what happen to Ollie on the island.So if every thing goes great it should last three more season and hopefully for the fifth season the give it it's greatest send off then cancel it before it goes the way of Smallville or the Simpsons.

Great news, long may it continue. Cannot wait for The Flash, Gotham & Constantine too.

Funny DC have done great with live action TV, comics and their animated shows/films. I truly hope their MoS Sequel is the first step to a fantastic DCCU.

Mix some Flash villains in there eventually. Maybe introduce Ray Palmer, Ted Kord, and to be honest in this world I think Maxwell Lord could work.

People forget Arrow was hit with so much scrutiny when it first was talked about including DC people on this site because they were reintroducing a character that Smallville had established...it took more than a few episodes before people caught on to this show...I think AOS has potential to do the same...well see though..Arrow has set the bar pretty high

I really Like Amell's Oliver Queen He is a Damaged character plus I really like he is a family Man by day and A Badass By night He is the best character and Rickards Felicity Smoak is my favorite female lead on this show she is quirky,nerdy and attractive I hope he hooks up with her

I remember the guy that played Arrow on Smallville being so hurt that he was being replaced and the outcry on this site....yea you guys that he wasn't continuing was sooooo serious lol what a difference a season and a half makes...I didn't care for Smallville after season 5 so it didn't matter to me that he was being recast

I am not surprised to hear about Arrow getting another season since the producers have said they have plans for five seasons. I hope the Tomorrow people will be next. The show has been pretty good. As for seeing another season of Supernatural is also not that big of a shock. Plus from the episodes I have watched of Reign that has been good too. So congratulations on the renewals of these shows.
