The CW Renews ARROW For A Third Season; SUPERNATURAL To Return For A Tenth
We're still waiting to hear if Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. will be renewed for a second season, but TV's other major comic book adaptation is set to return for a third year, along with other CW series' Supernatural, The Vampire Diaries and more. Read on for details!
The CW confirmed today that they have renewed Arrow, Supernatural and The Vampire Diaries for the 2014/2015 season. They'll be joined by The Originals and Reign. "This season we’ve had great success with our new hit series ‘The Originals’ paired with ‘Supernatural,’ giving us our best Tuesday nights in years. ‘The Vampire Diaries’ is No. 2 in its time period in the young adult demos, and with ‘Arrow’ continuing to gain among young men, and ‘Reign’ growing its time period, we now have strong nights on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday," said The CW’s president Mark Pedowitz in a statement released today. "I’m very pleased to announce early pickups for all five series, and let our fans know they’ll have more great drama to look forward to next season." Other shows like The Tomorrow People may still be renewed, but the network are waiting to make those decisions until closer to its Upfront presentation to advertisers in April.
