If DC would just take this character seriously, they could make everything from Emerald Dawn to The Sinestro Corp War. Green Lantern Corp movies could have Star Wars success. It would be more scifi than comic movie, but, hey, it would be [frick]ing great. I'm surprised its taking them so long to put a script together.

Maybe thats the problem, it would be a little too much like Star Wars... Lanterns = Jedi... Sinestro = Sith...

So this is the fifth installment of PG-13 movies...what are the rest? Justice League The New Frontier?...Superman:Doomsday, The Wonderwoman one? what else is there? I just watched the Justice League one and Doomsday for the first time and really enjoyed them so this Green Lantern one should be pretty cool.

SirExcalibur,

The one you're missing is Batman: Gotham Knight, it's pretty good but I thought Doomsday was better. They are the only ones I've seen but just from that I can see this could be very good.

This will be amazing im sure, they always are.

Jensen Ackles! Josh Duhamel! Jesus Christ you people have the whole of hollywood to fan cast from and those are your pics!..Why not Justin Timberlake?..or Freddy Prince Jr?

Lantern should be played by a reliably GREAT actor. Viggo Mortenson would be perfect but since they are obviously going alot younger, Clive Owen or Eric Bana please!

I was already interested in this, knowing how good New Frontier and Doomsday were, but seeing Bruce Timm associated with it, even if it's only as a producer, puts this even higher on my must-buy list.

Doomsday was very good, but new frontier was horrible. Its was basically about green latern. Aquaman had two lines at the end. Superman didn't do shit. I was so dissappointed when watchin that movie.

I hear your plight, and I agree that the "Jensen Ackles" of the world are not the way to go. They do need someone with real acting ability and star power, however, Clive and Bana are both in their mid 40's so that's gonna hurt their chances if they want to keep the casting 20's-30's. But people need to give it a rest with the CW teen beat cover boys already.

Are you kidding me? New Frontier was amazing! Doomsday was one of the biggest disappointments of my life! Not saying it was a bad movie, it certainly had it's merits, but it was a GOD AWFUL adaptation and faaarrrr inferior to the original storyline. New Frontier on the other hand, I believe set a new bar for animated super hero movies. It's only possible competition for best animated super hero movie (excluding Wonder Woman which I have yet to see) would be Mask of the Phantasm. In fact, New Frontier is the only PG-13 DC movie that didn't disappoint me in some way.

Green Lantern should be dope though, although I still think they should've made a Flash movie first. Even though I'm a much bigger GL fan than Flash, New Frontier should've held off the fanboys for a while. Although if I had my way, Judas Contract would be coming out instead of Wonder Woman....

Ok yeah I thought Gotham Knight might have been it but I wasn't sure. I seen some of that one. I liked them all(cept for Wonderwoman which I haven't seen.)PG-13 cartoons are just rockin.

Is it just me, or would a Flash animated tv show done in the same way as JLU would be awesome? He has such a wide variety of rogues that they could make several interesting story archs and still plenty of stand alone episodes. Now I know they had a live action show but, its time to gear Flash towards a new audience, and alot of his villains have already been portrayed in the DC Animated Universe. I think this would give alot more hype for Flash since he will have a live action movie coming soon and would definatly help box office for that movie.

I bet this is what they're doing instead of making feature films.

Jensen Ackles should play Green Lantern for the live movie.

The guy who voiced GL in The Batman series should reprise the role for the animated movie coming out. He did a great job.

Michael Rosenbaum should voice The Flash for an animated movie as he did for Justice League series.

For the live action Flash movie they should either go with Ryan Reynolds if he still wants it which i hope he does or give Michael Rosenbaum a chance, i think Mike could pull it off
