If you've seen any of the Fast & Furious movies, you'll know that Vin Diesel is one tough SOB. Perhaps that's why he's not afraid of Marvel and their usual level of secretiveness? Once again seemingly confirming that he has indeed joined the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the following video interview with IGN is well worth watching to check out the actors reaction when asked, a) whether his role will be revealed at today's Marvel panel and, b) if he's playing Rocket Raccoon in James Gunn's Guardians of the Galaxy. Vin Diesel has no hair on his arms what so ever. I'm sorry the weight of being a man was too much for you.

It's pretty cool to see him and other unexpected actors become part of the MCU. The chemistry on screen between him and Stark, Cap, and Thor will be awesome, no matter who he is playing.

I've always liked Vin Diesel,
he's an attractive guy with a good body and a goddamn sexy voice.

For him to have a role in any Marvel film is good news to me.

This might be one of the most pretentious questions ever asked on this forum. But. Why would raccoon's have evolved on any other planet?

Marvel might do an epic fail with the silly Guardians of the Universe. Or, perhaps not. Well will see I guess.

Diesel is either doing racoon or Thanos.

I say he's either playing Vision or Rocket Raccoon.

@DrStrange You better make sure the guy who commented right up above you doesn't see that... Going by his picture, he already looks pissed off enough as it is.

I think it would be almost a waste just to use him for voice acting,he should be on screen as well.He has the build for a superhero so why not?Still a solid choice whatever.

@Seejay: Well, if the universe is infinite, it would actually happen. There are only so many ways matter can arrange itself within that infinite universe. Eventually, matter has to repeat itself and arrange itself in similar ways.

According to the annihilators book, Rocket was genetically engineered in an space insane asylum. They made all the workers of the asylum cute furry creature from around the universe, to keep the crazies calm. Its a little much to put into one sentence, and did suffer from amnesia for a while.

The best bet for Marvel is to make look like a raccoon but not exactly. That way it would explain the name and also the alien origin.

I just can't picture him only doing voice work for a Marvel movie. He seems like the type of actor that Marvel would want to physically be in their movies

Groot. Doesn't RR have an English accent?
RamonSuarez
RamonSuarez - 7/20/2013, 5:51 AM
@TelaVizion

With cap motion he would bring his physicality to the role. If you asked directors if body actors like Doug Jones or Andy Sirkis give their movie characters physical traits they'd answer in the affirmative.
