The MCU's Guardians have battled Ronan the Accuser, Ego the Living Planet, and Thanos, but will the High Evolutionary put an end to the team once and for all?
That's a question Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 promises to answer, and a new extended TV spot continues to hype James Gunn's upcoming threequel as the final ride for this iteration of the team. The footage also shows Nathan Fillion making a cameo appearance as an unnamed character and Sylvester Stallone suited up as Stakar Ogord.
We also have new promo art for the threequel (you can see more by clicking here and here) which puts the spotlight on Will Poulter's Adam Warlock.
It's still unclear what sort of role the cosmic character is going to play in this movie; while we expect him to take aim at the Guardians on the Sovereign's orders, what the comic book superhero will bring to the table beyond that remains to be seen.

In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, our beloved band of misfits are looking a bit different these days. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.
Gunn writes and directs Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, featuring Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter, and Maria Bakalova.
Kevin Feige is the producer and Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nikolas Korda, Simon Hatt, and Sara Smith serve as executive producers.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 arrives in theaters on May 5, 2023.
