GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3 Gets An Extended TV Spot As New Look At Adam Warlock Is Revealed

Marvel Studios has released a new extended TV spot for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 along with promo art that offers arguably our best look yet at Will Poulter's Adam Warlock in action. Check it out...

The MCU's Guardians have battled Ronan the Accuser, Ego the Living Planet, and Thanos, but will the High Evolutionary put an end to the team once and for all?

That's a question Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 promises to answer, and a new extended TV spot continues to hype James Gunn's upcoming threequel as the final ride for this iteration of the team. The footage also shows Nathan Fillion making a cameo appearance as an unnamed character and Sylvester Stallone suited up as Stakar Ogord.

We also have new promo art for the threequel (you can see more by clicking here and here) which puts the spotlight on Will Poulter's Adam Warlock.

It's still unclear what sort of role the cosmic character is going to play in this movie; while we expect him to take aim at the Guardians on the Sovereign's orders, what the comic book superhero will bring to the table beyond that remains to be seen.

Check out this new TV spot and promo art for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 below.

In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, our beloved band of misfits are looking a bit different these days. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.

Gunn writes and directs Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, featuring Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter, and Maria Bakalova.

Kevin Feige is the producer and Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nikolas Korda, Simon Hatt, and Sara Smith serve as executive producers.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 arrives in theaters on May 5, 2023.

That Adam Warlock suit could use a little black in my opinion.

@Fares - A lot more black. And a popped gold collar. And white eyes. But that's just me.

I don't actually want this to be the death of the MCU but I think it will be - the last time anyone will give a flying [frick] about a character and they will die on screen and we'll be in our feels and then it will be over.

At least we'll have The Marvels to bounce back with lol

Robot, with Steve Agee reprising his role as John Economos.

“It’s a face off” may have double meaning.

It may also mean The High Evolutionary removing his skin face to reveal his robot face.

This trailer is better than the last one, but it just feels like they are tired of playing these roles.

@TyrantBossMedia - i thought the same thing. I bet rhat line is right after the skin face comes off.

@mountainman - Yes, If it is right after the face comes off then I would think that is should have a. bit of a more humorous delivery. Kind of a shrugging, no nonsense "It's a face-off"

But this delivery seems a bit more serious. Maybe it was a different take used in the trailer (it wouldn't be the first time), or we are both wrong.

I hope they don't miss that obvious joke. It's very GOTG.

@TyrantBossMedia - I just hope the mask under the skin mask looks cool. I’m sure we will only get it for a little bit at the end of the movie.

It almost seems like the finale is on the animal Earth. Which would be weird since the only cosmic marvel team shouldn’t have a big battle in an earth-looking place.

Nice news article. No opinion, no editorializing.

Kudos to Josh even though he blocked me long ago.

The final hurrah for Disney Marvel and general audiences until maybe the Avengers films offer enough cameos to bring people back for a bit. Cannot see anything else in Phase 5 doing particularly great.

Even so, riding off the tails of Ant-Man 3... not a good situation to be in. I think people will appreciate this one for being primarily standalone from the larger multiverse stakes of the MCU and the emotional core. If handled well probably will do somewhere between the first and second.

If it falls below the first film financially, can see a lot of delays and cancellations incoming for Marvel though as that'd be a sign that their brand may be failing.

I’ve waited so long for Adam Warlock. Marvel’s best character, IMO. I just wish we got to see him face off against Thanos in some capacity. Here’s to hoping.

@Benjamitesandwich - well if the mcu gets their "heart back" relying on the source material and hire people who care about the characters that could still happen. If Mistress Death is introduced she could resurrect the mad titan, giving Him the cosmic powers he should've had from beginning.
Benjamitesandwich
Benjamitesandwich - 4/12/2023, 3:34 PM
@OmegaEffect - My thoughts exactly. And the plot could be quite simple: Death is worried that the new avatar of life (Warlock) will mess with the cosmic balance and makes Thanos her avatar to fight against it. After a brief tussle with Adam Warlock, Thanos learns that the real threat to Death is actually the Magus, and he and Adam pair together to stop him.

@AllsGood - Yeah hopefully Vol. 3 will get the masses back on the MCU bandwagon after several past disappointments but I have a sinking feeling that they will revert back to their old ways with The Marvels...

I have no doubt whatsoever that Adam Warlock will only appear in the first 15 or so minutes of the flick as a prologue to the rest of the movie. Another wasted character in Gunn's graveyard of mistakes (e.g., Glenn Close as Nova-Prime).

DocSpock - 4/12/2023, 6:40 PM

And a character who should have been great in the MCU cosmic arena, Warlock is one and done.

Bleah.
