The first trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 took us on quite the emotional journey, and we're clearly going to be spending the next six months or so hoping and praying Rocket makes it out of this one alive. It appears all these heroes are at risk, though, for what promises to be James Gunn's epic farewell to the MCU.
In a newly released gallery of stills from the threequel, we finally get to take a closer look at the matching uniforms the team will wear. Those are something fans have been waiting a long time for, and these designs definitely do the comics justice.
The colourful spacesuits are also highlighted (we're very intrigued by how those come into play), as is the villainous High Evolutionary. The creator of Counter-Earth and Rocket, he looks set to be Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3's big bad, likely meaning Adam Warlock will be a supporting villain.
In Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, our beloved band of misfits are looking a bit different these days. Peter Quill, still reeling from the loss of Gamora, must rally his team around him to defend the universe along with protecting one of their own. A mission that, if not completed successfully, could quite possibly lead to the end of the Guardians as we know them.
Gunn writes and directs Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, which stars Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Karen Gillan, Pom Klementieff, featuring Vin Diesel as Groot, Bradley Cooper as Rocket, Sean Gunn, Chukwudi Iwuji, Will Poulter, and Maria Bakalova.
Kevin Feige is the producer and Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nikolas Korda, Simon Hatt, and Sara Smith serve as executive producers.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 arrives in theaters on May 5, 2023.
