James Gunn Would Love A GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Holiday Special; Confirms Drax is Gray

In addition to confirming Drax's color, James Gunn says he and Kevin Feige talk frequently about creating a Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special in the same vein as the Star Wars Holiday Special.

Responding to a fan question on Twitter about the chances of a Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special airing on ABC, Vol. 2 director James Gunn revealed that he and Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige discuss this subject quite often.

Gunn further commented that he wouldn't commit to such a project unless it could meet the high standard set by the 1978 Star Wars Holiday Special, one of the very first Star Wars-spinoffs.

Gunn continued his usual Twitter engagement with fans, confirming that Drax is gray not green, despite how he might appear in certain lighting and the fact that he's green in the comics. If you were looking forward to Drax and Hulk having a moment in Avengers: Infinity War about being green-skinned, super strong bros, sorry to disappoint.

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 hits theaters May 5.
