The box office success of A Quiet Place has been a pleasant surprise for all of those involved, and could inspire Paramount to explore a sequel to the horror film. And it seem's the movie's writers are on board too, claiming to already have ideas of what can be explored in future films.

"It's such a fun world. There are so many things you could do," screenwriter Bryan Woods told Fandango when asked about A Quiet Place spawning its own franchise.

Not to spoil anything, but the film did leave many open-ended questions that could be further explored in additional movies, which fellow screenwriter Scott Beck acknowledges.

"Definitely...There are so many discarded set pieces, too, just hiding out on Word documents on our computer," Beck revealed. "So, yeah, there are certainly so many stories you could tell. It's just really, at the end of the day, who are the characters in this and what does this situation mean to that dynamic?"

Directed by John Krasinski, A Quiet Place had the second-best opening ever for an original horror movie. While nothing is confirmed just yet, it will be hard for Paramount to pass up on the opportunity of spawning an entire franchise based on this intriguing universe.

First! and Great movie even with all the plot-holes

@HulkSmash3455 - The only plot hole I can actually think of is them not just sleeping near the river which could actually be explained a bit by not having an easily defensible position in the middle of the woods

@Ha1frican - Why the hell didn't they wear socks in the woods and on the hardwood? I couldn't stop thinking about it during the movie.

I was also really high though so that's probably why I couldn't stop thinking about it. Even so, I think it's a legitimate question.

I'm also not sure if I'm okay with the fact that they had electricity (lights, security cams, etc)? Was there a nod to this at all?

@ThorArms - well they only walked on sand outside so socks would probably be insanely annoying and uncomfortable for no extra sound proofing and if they didn’t wear them outside why bother putting them on inside? As for the electricity no they never said anything but considering they are close to rivers and waterfalls maybe there a hydroelectric plant nearby

@Ha1frican - The sand just seemed a bit ridiculous when you could put on some wool socks...then they would be able to walk where they want and not only in the sand? idk. just seemed very dumb.

that sand was EVERYWHERE and it was what? Day 400? Wonder how long that took them...lol

@ThorArms - socks that would last like a week walking around outside without shoes on... and not really considering you would just pour it in front of you wherever you walked for the first time and considering they only go a few places it wouldn’t take long to make trails

@ThorArms - plus even with wool socks you’d still get the crunching of leaves and sticks where you wouldn’t with the sand

Great movie, looking forward to the sequel. Perhaps they will look to the past for inspiration on how to handle a sequel...

Loved the movie and I’m down for a sequel but I hope it isn’t involving the family from the first. Let that story be stand alone, I’d MUCH rather they do a concurrent story of one of the other camps we see during the first sunset scene that maybe intersects somehow. New characters an story but set in that same world is the way to go imo

This doesn't need a sequel or prequel. You don't need to franchise everything, Hollywood.

@Battabing - It’s the Hollywood way.

to be honest,

this is the most SUSPENSEFUL movie I have watched in a while.... !

John Krasinski did a Great job helping with the screenplay as well as directing this film and Emily Blunt was so damn good !

I do think the movie has noticeable plot-holes
but you can overlook them easily, you get drag into the suspense.

Please do not ruin this movie with a sequel. the chances of it being good are 50/50. Lot's of movies in this genre are best left with the one movie. It ended just fine, no need to go on. We can all presume what's going to happen in that world
