GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE Merchandise Gives Us A First Look At The Original Team Members

Peter Venkman, Ray Stanz & Winston Zeddemore didn't show up in today's Ghostbusters: Afterlife trailer, but thanks to this merch, we have some idea how the classic spook-hunters will look in the film.

Sony Pictures released a new trailer for Ghostbusters: Afterlife earlier today, but aside from some archive footage and a quick glimpse of Ray's (Dan Aykroyd) hand as he answered the phone, we didn't get that first look at the returning trio of spook-hunters fans were hoping for.

We might be waiting a while for that big reveal, but Hasbro has now unveiled its first wave of Afterlife merchandise, and the "Plasma" series action figures feature the older versions of Ray, Peter Venkman (Bill Murray) and Winston Zeddemore (Ernie Hudson).

These toys obviously don't represent exactly how the characters will look in the movie, but they do give us some idea of how they'll be depicted. At the very least, they would seem to confirm that the iconic Ghostbusters will be suiting-up alongside the younger heroes.

The rest of the figures include Lucky (Celeste O’Connor), Trevor (Finn Wolfhard), Podcast (Logan Jim), and Phoebe (Mckenna Grace). The “build-a-ghost” toy is called the “Sentinel Terror Dog, which appears to be a bipedal version of the original Gate Keeper and Key Master creatures

From director Jason Reitman and producer Ivan Reitman, comes the next chapter in the original Ghostbusters universe. In Ghostbusters: Afterlife, when a single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.

Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver, and Annie Potts have all been confirmed to reprise their roles from the original movies, and they'll be joined by Paul Rudd (Ant-Man), Carrie Coon (Fargo), Finn Wolfhard (Stranger Things) and Mckenna Grace (Captain Marvel).

Ghostbusters: Afterlife is currently set to blast into theaters on November 11, 2021.
