Andy Muschietti's It Chapter Two opens in theaters in just over two weeks, and it looks like Warner Bros. has officially lifted the social media embargo for the highly-ancipated follow-up to the 2017 horror blockbuster. Early word seems to be pretty positive, too, as many hail it as the perfect bookend to Chapter One.

While some reactions are decidedly more mixed than others, most seem to be in agreement that Bill Hader (Barry) steals the show with his performance as an adult Richie Tozier. Jay Ryan, who plays an adult Ben Hanscom, also gets singled out by some press members.

The film also stars Golden Globe-nominee James McAvoy, 2x Academy Award-nominee Jessica Chastain, Isaiah Mustafa, James Ransone and Andy Bean as the adult versions of the Losers' Club while Jaeden Martell, Sophia Lillis, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Finn Wolfhard, Chosen Jacobs, Jack Dylan Grazer and Wyatt Oleff reprise their roles from the previous film as the young Losers.

Evil resurfaces in Derry as director Andy Muschietti reunites the Losers Club—young and adult—in a return to where it all began with “It Chapter Two.”

The film is Muschietti’s follow-up to 2017’s critically acclaimed and massive worldwide box office hit “IT,” which grossed over $700 million globally. Both redefining and transcending the genre, “IT” became part of the cultural zeitgeist as well as the highest-grossing horror film of all time.

Because every 27 years evil revisits the town of Derry, Maine, “It Chapter Two” brings the characters—who’ve long since gone their separate ways—back together as adults, nearly three decades after the events of the first film.

Cool that Bill Hader has the spotlight. I think I'm in the minority of hating Finn Wolfhard as Richie in the first one.

He was just a tryhard. Not a lovable one.

The trailers alone seem to suggest that Bill Hader is acting the sh*t out of this role, and I couldn't be happier that he's in a serious upswing of success.

(And though I just posted this on a previous board, I will gladly and shamefully double down, cause this is just too funny.)

Good to hear about Hader. He has turned in to quite the actor. Now Reeves needs to loosen up on his reported casting call for The Batman and make him the Riddler ASAP

I hope the flashbacks delve more into the trauma for the kids. I never read the book, and only ever saw part of the miniseries, but what I remember about the miniseries is that the adults were traumatized from their experience with Pennywise as kids.

However, in It Chappter 1 I didn't feel any of that trauma outside of Bill missing Georgie. Beverly had some issues, but with her dad, not Pennywise. As far as Pennywise goes, most of the kids seemed fine at the end of the movie. So I'd like to see some flashbacks of them being haunted by the memory of their experiences.
