Aaron Eckhart's Ugly Mug On New I, FRANKENSTEIN Poster

I imagine it makes director Stuart Beattie nervous when the marking department for his upcoming action-thriller, I, Frankenstein, is touting "From the Producers of Underworld."

This sounded ridiculous and then I saw the trailer and realised everyone already knows it's ridiculous. At the exact moment when he punches a gargoyle, their cash register went ka-ching! from my money being theirs. It looks like potentially the dumbest thing since Van Helsing, and I'm so ready.

Of course, without the charisma of a Brendan Fraser or Hugh Jackman it might just be a joyless drag. I dunno how Eckhart works in movies like this. Hopefully he's compelling enough, though.

Speaking of joyless drags - yeah they prolly should avoid lumping it in with Underworld. If this takes itself even remotely as seriously as those, I'm afraid I'm waaaaaay too little 14 years old to appreciate it.

Van Helsing wasn't that bad. You can't say that the Wolfman vs Vampire fight at the end wasn't badass?!
