"I, Frankenstein" was recently pushed to January 2014. If the reactions to the first footage shown moments ago at San Diego Comic-Con is any indication, there's a reason why.

I, Frankenstein stars Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighy, Yvonne Strahovski, Miranda Otto, Jai Courtney and Socratis Otto. The film is set to hit theaters January 24th, 2014. It's based on the Darkstorm Studios graphic novel and original screenplay by Kevin Grevioux. Grevioux of Underworld fame sold a spec script to Lakeshore Entertainment in 2010. Filming began on February 27, 2012. The film's score is composed by Johnny Klimek and Reinhold Heil.[


"Set in a dystopic present where vigilant gargoyles and ferocious demons rage in a battle for ultimate power, Victor Frankenstein's creation Adam (Aaron Eckhart) finds himself caught in the middle as both sides race to discover the secret to his immortality. From the co-writer of the hit supernatural saga, UNDERWORLD, comes the action thriller I, FRANKENSTEIN, written for the screen and directed by Stuart Beattie based on the graphic novel "I, Frankenstein" by Kevin Grevioux, and brought to life by a cast that includes Aaron Eckhart, Bill Nighy, Yvonne Strahovski, Miranda Otto, Jai Courtney, Socratis Otto, Mahesh Jadu, Caitlin Stasey and Aden Young as Victor Frankenstein."
