Movie Trailers - Movies Blog When MTV asked him about the rumor first reported by Bleeding Cool, Urban responded.. "Yeah, that's correct, that's a big rumor going on." "I can't say too much at this point but it's lookin' good." Apparently Urban has been a long time fan of the character, adding that he had been reading since he was a teenager.. "[He is a] phenomenal iconic comic book character, so it's a world I know and it would be a privilege and a pleasure to be able to bring that to life," Urban also spoke to Film School Rejects about it.. Yeah, I can’t say too much about it, but I have been offered the role and we’ve been having discussions. We’re working on it.” Quickly after that, I asked if Urban saw some of the excellent concept art they’ve been working on, “Yeah, it’s phenomenal. I’ve been reading Dredd in one form or another for twenty-five years.” Lastly, when I asked about what comics they’re drawing from he couldn’t say specifically, but what he did end on telling me was, “I am the law.” Awesome! I think he will do a great job, if it all works out of course.
