SUPERMAN Actor Henry Cavill Posts Heartfelt Thank You Message To JUSTICE LEAGUE Fans

Actor Henry Cavill, who plays Superman in the DCEU, took to Instagram to post a special "thank you" message days before the debut of Justice League to all the fans who have been supporting the DC films.

Days before Justice League officially hit theaters, Henry Cavill, who takes to the skies as Superman for the third time in the DCEU, shared a special message with his fans on Instagram.

The heartfelt "thank you" message was accompanied by a photo of the actor posing with fans during Monday's red carpet premiere in Los Angeles.

The DCEU hasn't gotten off to the greatest of starts, but Henry Cavill's portrayal of the Man of Steel has been one of the bright spots. Justice League — which currently sits at a 36% on Rotten Tomatoes — is faring somewhat better better than its predecessor Batman v Superman (27%), though it's still lower than Man of Steel (55%).

Regardless, the DCEU has still been a success at the box office and there's clearly a passionate fanbase that's enjoying seeing these iconic DC characters come to life on the big screen. Speaking of life, Cavill sat out most of Justice League's promotions in an effort to conceal Superman's inevitable return (the worst kept secret?) following his death at the end of Batman v Superman.

To see what's in store for the Man of Steel, you'll have to check out Justice League which hits theaters on November 17th.

I reallly want this movie to do well. From all the reviews though I don’t know why they can’t get it right. He seems like a good dude though.

@Supercat6376 - All I can tell you is I went in expecting to hate it thinking that issues would ruin it and they didn't, I'll be interested to know what you think positive or negative.

@duncboy - Each to their own man. It was fun, entertaining and thrilling - that's pretty much all I need.

@BeyondtheFuture - yup, I can’t debate what makes a movie great but I can say that I thoroughly enjoyed it.

@BeyondtheFuture - the negative reviews and bashing it’s taken over the past few days on this site had me worried. I loved it thought.

@cbostont102 - honestly what scared me was the runtime. I was worried they'd cut so much out it would be noticeable. In the back of my mind I was like 'wait, where's that scene from the trailer' but ultimately it felt like a complete movie. I would love an extended cut but if this is it, I'm totally happy. Glad you enjoyed it. I'm going to see it again tonight, I booked two showings ages ago so hopefully it's even better the second time.

@Supercat6376 - I saw it last night, and I really enjoyed myself, also everyone else in the theater. You should go and see it and make the assumption for yourself.

@BeyondtheFuture - I work weekends so won’t be able to see it again until next week. Runtime worried me as well but turned out not to be an issue. I know what scene your talking about and I’m sick of this trend of scenes from trailers being left out but like you said it didn’t ruin it for me.

Another thing that worried me was how people complained that Lois was there at a pivotal moment was forced however, the way she was brought in was fantastic. Not just like her showing up in the middle of the “Martha” scene in BvS.

@cbostont102 - People are complaining about that? That scene explains the Knightmare scene from BVS. I thought it was great and Cavill's performance was brilliant. That was probably my favourite part of the movie.

@Supercat6376 - The cgi removal of the mustache was a bit distracting to me, it just looked really off. I did enjoy the movie though.

@BeyondtheFuture - And this is why Transformers had so many movies.

@411IDSigo - Transformers had so many movies because they had amazing trailers. DC Films will have so many movies because the movies themselves, with the exception of Trailer Park's Suicide Squad, are good and deserve every penny they make.

@duncboy - Sorry you're not a real comic book fan. My only requirements for a CBM are 1) Does it respect the source material and 2) Is it fun? This movie checked off both boxes, and so it pleased me greatly. I also thought it was much better than Age of Ultron, Civil War, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Ragnarok.
duncboy
duncboy - 11/17/2017, 5:24 PM
@GAThrawnIGF - I've been collecting comics for my entire life (I'm 32) and have bought over 2500 comics in the last 10 years alone, all of which are digitally cataloged and stored spine reversed in anti-corrosive storage boxes (and of course, with a board/sleeve). I have dozens of trade paper backs and countless statues, stamps, magazines (like Wizard) from the 90s, trading cards, and of course, even a few action figures.

Calling me "not a real comic book fan" because I have a different opinion is so. idiotic., and completely inaccurate. And in case it matters, over 75% of everything I just discussed is either DC or Vertigo, so I would absolutely describe myself as a "DC fan boy".

@SisterSunday52 - BvS was not good. Man of Steel was good until the 3rd Act. Wonder Woman was good...until the 3rd act but that 3rd act was still better than the MoS third act.

But overall and sadly the DC movies are messy and disjointed except for Wonder Woman (until the 3rd act).
