Chloe Moretz Says She Will Be Back As Hit Girl In Kick-Ass 2

While chatting to Movies.com at the Toronto International Film Festival the young actress stated fairly confidently that she would be back as Hit Girl, and looks forward to playing an older version of the character..

Mark Millar stated on numerous occasions that a Kick-Ass was a sure thing but he seemed to be the only one who knew anything about it. Mathew Vaughn, the director of the first movie, rubbished the rumor that plans were already in motion but said that it might be a possibility at some point down the line.



Now Chloe Moretz, who stole the show as Hit Girl last time around, seems pretty sure the movie will happen and that she will reprise her role as the ass kicking minor. Movies.com caught up with her at TIFF..

Movies.com: Are they going to be able to do Kick-Ass 2 in time for you to be Hit Girl again?

CM: Actually, yeah, but I think I’m going to be a little bit older. I’d like to do it in the next year or two because I think that’s a really good time age-wise. You can show Hit Girl in a different light which would be a lot of fun.

Movies.com: Would you like to revisit her at different ages?

CM: I think it would be fun to show her, because you know her as this 11-year-old assassin, so I think it would be fun to show her as this twisted young adult, this 16-17-year-old Catwoman-y almost, twisted and dark person.

Movies.com: She could have a driver’s license then.

CM: Ex-ACTLY! Hit Girl could be riding Ducatis all over New York City. Duh.


So nothing official, but Moretz certainly sounds like she has heard that plans are in place. I think most of us agree that Kick-Ass was awesome, but will the window for a sequel have passed by if they wait too much longer? Did we get everything we needed from this story already anyway? Im with Sexymuppet, I dont see KickAss 2 happening at all. I dont think it made enough $$$ to warrant a sequal.

And I too also saw those Scarlett Johanson photos and yes they are jizz worthy.

The movie was suprisingly good IMO.. Maybe we'll see the Aaron dude as cyclops in the near future since Vaughn is attachesd to both potential franchises *fingers crossed*

If HG is the main hero for the movie they ought to give her a super weakness. Something ridiculous like a peanut allergy. Some fat bully at school who eats nothing but peanut butter sandwiches could be a villain :)
