Stark Industries has gotten their hands on some amazing high-resolution behind-the-scenes images of alien creatures featured in Men in Black 3. You can see legendary visual effects artist Rick Baker working his magic, making sure each creature pops on screen.

Rick has previously stated that he loved working on this film because of the time travel element. That aspect of the story lead him to suggest making the aliens retro, 50's and 60's B-movie monsters. From the images below he absolutely nailed that look, and Jemaine Clement as the main villain looks amazing as well.

Not a huge fan of the MIB films but I love the retro feel of these designs, can see elements of Invasion of the Saucermen, The Outer Limits, Invaders from Mars, the Star Wars cantina sequence (which the young Baker worked on back in '76) and more.

Had no interest in MIB3 whatsoever - but I love the retro aliens. Rick Baker and (the late) Stan Winston's designs have propped up SO many films, it's beyond a joke.

@AlexDeLarge87 Yep. This looks surprisingly good. Josh Brolin doing Tommy Lee Jones makes it worth it alone.

Those aliens rule! I recognized the Plan 9 from Outer Space homage, along with The Attack of the Saucer Men right off the bat, but I can't place the others.

The aliens do look like something you would see in those cheesy movies during that time.

Obviously, that's what he was going for, but he did a great job.

Hey! I found Nemo! Oh, wait... :P

@Plain Wow, you just can't go one article without bashing The Avengers, can you?

On a better note, I'm liking the look of this! I've always enjoyed Rick Baker's designs. The man has some serious talent. The movie looks like a lot of fun!
