Ahead of tonight's game, Universal Pictures debuted a pretty creepy new Big Game spot for Leigh Whannell's The Invisible Man, which is not a remake of the 1933 classic, but is inspired by the horror icon who has terrifiied generations of fans.

The film stars Primetime Emmy-winner Elisabeth Moss (The Handmaid's Tale), Aldis Hodge (Jack Reacher: Never Go Back), Storm Reid (Euphoria), Harriet Dyer (The InBetween) and Oliver Jackson-Cohen (The Haunting of Hill House).

What you can’t see can hurt you. Emmy winner Elisabeth Moss (Us, Hulu’s The Handmaid’s Tale) stars in a terrifying modern tale of obsession inspired by Universal’s classic monster character.

Trapped in a violent, controlling relationship with a wealthy and brilliant scientist, Cecilia Kass (Moss) escapes in the dead of night and disappears into hiding, aided by her sister (Harriet Dyer, NBC’s The InBetween), their childhood friend (Aldis Hodge, Straight Outta Compton) and his teenage daughter (Storm Reid, HBO’s Euphoria).

But when Cecilia’s abusive ex (Oliver Jackson-Cohen, Netflix’s The Haunting of Hill House) commits suicide and leaves her a generous portion of his vast fortune, Cecilia suspects his death was a hoax. As a series of eerie coincidences turns lethal, threatening the lives of those she loves, Cecilia’s sanity begins to unravel as she desperately tries to prove that she is being hunted by someone nobody can see.

@AnthonyVonGeek - They were 3 months from finishing the post-production process on that when I started working for Paul Verhoeven and his main producer partner, I took over as the Post PA. I still have the actual crowbar used in the movie somewhere lol

Movie looks good!
It's a shame they used the book's name for it, people will go with preconceived notions on what to expect when it has absolutely nothing to do with it aside from the basic "man turns himself invisible through science" plot point.

A creepy invisible sex pest who is abusive towards women? I thought they got rid of Johnny Depp from this movie?

@528491 - Admittedly it's only a pretty small percentage of these kind of situations where this is the case, but there's actually some fairly compelling evidence that Amber Heard was much more the guilty one in this scenario. She sort of set things up to paint him really poorly and then did lots of embellishing.
