MTV has debuted a first teaser for the upcoming CG movie The Goon. It is based on the comic book with the same name and it was created by Eric Powell. We have seen couple of concept images in the past and now we have a first look at the David Fincher-produced film.

Check it out:

Also, MTV adds that both David Fincher and Paul Giamatti (voice of Frankie) will be attending The Goon panel at Comic which will start at 6 PM PST in Room 24ABC. So, for all of you who are lucky enough to go to this year's Comic Con, see if you have the time to visit this panel, because from this short teaser the film looks really good.

Woah... i have to admit, i never picked this book up cause it's very concept looked like shit. It's really not my cup of tea. But... looking at it all animated... i gotta say... i'm flat out on my ass here!!! I'm completely blown away by this! Just the atmosphere they brought to it is breath taking. And the voice actors are out of this world! I can't wait to see this!!!

Maybe we should have ALL our comic book movies in CGI.
1. We know they will stick the source material.
2. We won't have to worry about ugly A$$ actors playing our beloved heroes.
3. The characters will look exactly like the comics.
4. Better action and story-lines.(Story lines that Hollywood sees that they are better than their live action story lines, but refuses to make into live action.)

Here's hopin' they're sticking to the tone of the early comics story-wise.

Paul Giametti sure sounds like Don Rickles in this
