Stan Lee tweets his thoughts about Disney/Marvel Merger

Stan Lee tweets his thoughts about Disney/Marvel Merger

... and a Stan Lee tweet is not complete without him mentioning his cameos in CBM movies

By ACCESS - Jan 03, 2010 05:01 PM EST

or in this case movies in General. So here are Stan "the Man" Lee tweets:

Some of you think Marvel's heroes will be "Disneyfied." No way! Dis is too hip! It's more likely Mickey & Minnie'll be :"Marvelfied!"

It may sound as if I like those Disney guys. Damn straight! I've worked with them. I've worked with Marvel. Couldn't be a better match!

Of course, everything depends on whether I get a cameo in their next "Pirates of the Caribbean!" We may need a write-in campaign!

Okay, now you;'ve probably guessed why want a zillion followers. If each of you writes to every studio demanding a cameo for me--!

Maybe cameos are just the first step. Next comes a supporting role. And then, stardom! See what you're letting yourselves in for?

Y'know, when my name's finally above the title I won't have time to tweet anymore. But I'll never forget the little people I've left behind

Of course, I can always get a ghost-tweeter. Maybe Kevin Smith [
] has some free time. But we'll get to that later. Now it's time for- Excelsior

It's a new year but dependable Stan is still the same. Atleast he is thinking big, not only is he expanding his desire to cameo out from Marvel Movies but is now eyeing also for supporting roles.

-access out. Godspeed and MABUHAY!

Stan Lee is suck a [frick]en atention whore. Dont get me wrong hes weet, but all he wants is some screen time. he would have been a terrible Odin.

My favorite was Dare Devil. He didn't play a huge part, he was just there and in a cool surprise way for a couple seconds.

@LEE-Dude you change your Avatar everyday, you should go back to the Tick

Maybe the Marvel/Disney merger will make Darkwing Duck come out of retirement. Stan could cameo as Gosalyn's Grandpa.

I still liked his cameo of him as 'guy behind hotdog cart' in X1. Stan practically invented comic books, its time he had more than a cameo.

they should really make a movie about Stan lee and how he made superheros.....a movie about his life. I'd watch it

C'mon guys, Stan's cameos are just his shtick nowadays. Sure, its a little awkward but it wouldn't feel right if it wasn't there. Kinda like giving Grandma a long slow kiss when you go over to visit!

Glad other people hate that thing! I know CBM has to make some advertisement money, but next time I'd rather them make it with less annoying commercials...or just ask us for donations!

I don't get all the Stan Lee haters? How can one gripe about staying true to the source material and honoring where a CBM comes from, and then in the same (or the next) sentence hate on Stan "the Man" Lee? I for one will shed many tears when he leaves us. Any appeareance he makes leaves a smile on my face. Cameos, interviews, shameless promotions...You name it, it makes me happy to see him and for that alone he deserves all the screen time he gets. Make mine Marvel and last but not least Excelsior!!!!!!!!!!!

CaptainProg- HOW is Stan Lee's appearences making the marvel films "predictable" and "corny"? I don't understand. He maybe says one or two lines, and some times he says nothing like in X3, and Daredevil, he is the godfather of comics. plus he is 86 years old! I say let him be. I pray this NEVER happens but, the day he visits the marvel universe in the sky , will be the day I cry, and cry, and then cry again.

TheMyth
TheMyth - 1/4/2010, 2:32 AM
CaptainProg, so tell me how his cameo makes the movie 'predictable' cause you lost me there. Surely you can predict that Stan will show face at some point, but in the manner you convey it's as if you feel the whole movie is revealed and ruined as a result, which is just silly. I'm sure that isn't what you mean, but the wording of your comments certainly make it seem so.

Mario, would you like a chocolate covered pretzel? Goddamn sailboat...

@peterparker420 I love those cameos and the only one thats overly corny is the Spider-Man 3 one, every time i see that I cringe. The Silver Surfer one is just funny and the rest are just nice little nods.
CorndogBurglar
CorndogBurglar - 1/4/2010, 6:29 AM
how do stan's cameos make the movies predictable?? he doesn't give away anything important in the movie, he's just there fora laugh. if you can predict what will happen in a movie by stan lee appearing for a couple seconds then you're the next nostradamus...

JaySchluffy- I actually like the one in SM3..
"I guess one person really can
make a difference..nuff said"
It's great! in my opinion.. I like
the one in daredevil to that one is funny.
and I also like the one in FF2..that
actually made me laugh out loud.

CaptainProg- I still don't understand how his cameos in these movies makes these movies predictable, do you mean it is predictable that Stan Lee will appear?,
and of course his cameo's/lines are corny, he himself said that he is the corniest man in comics. but thats what makes stan lee..well..stan lee. to tell you the truth if I was gay (which I'm not), but if I was I would ask stan lee out, A rich old man who love comics as much as I do..we would be a match made in the marvel universe ..LOL!

OdinsBeard
OdinsBeard - 1/4/2010, 9:56 AM
of course stans cameos make the movies predicable! they seriously need to get away from having him show up, or at least not advertise it so we can avoid spoilers.

i mean clearly him drinking the gamma-soda in 'the incredible hulk' totally gave away that blonsky would use the super-soldier serum along with HULK'S blood (just like stan drank, convienient) to become the abomination. allowing general ross to realize the mistake he made and begin drinking (just like stan did in the movie!!) and go into a downward spiral of shame and misery, the likes of which no one can over come. until, wait for it... tony stark appears and says 'we're putting a team together.' but this will all come to a screeching halt in IM2 when tony himself begins drinking to much (obviously influenced by stan's soda-loving, blood drinking character from TIH) and to everyones surprise, or lack thereof thanks to the esteemed mr. lee, the soda factory in brazil will be ransacked for extra hulk blood, and extra soda because iron man is super thristy, finding the hulks blood there will attract none other than LOKI! who also loves soda and finds himself a nice hulk-blood drenched soda to drink. THUS LEADING ME TO THE ONLY LOGICAL CONCLUSION THAT THE AVNEGERS VILLAIN WILL BE A GAMMA-POWERED LOKI!! damn you stan leeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!!!! if only i could've avoided all the spoilers.
