We all go through different walks of life, but wherever we come from we can always rely on a good bro.  Whether you're an impressionable superhero, a lazy stoner, an aging criminal - a bro can always have your back. The one who will take a bullet for you will always be more revered than family members or even your cantankerous wife.  This is my look in the top ten bro's of geek, cbm, and nerd culture. so let's start from the bottom with one of my personal favorites.

10. Kick-Ass/ Hit-Girl (Aaron Taylor Johnson/Chloe Grace Moretz) - Kick-Ass
This relationship started out off from the get-go. You have to assume an 16 year old would feel embarrassed about being saved by a 10 year old. But these two realized that they are the only thing that can save New York from the crime that infects it. They form a partnership out of respect and genuine care out of one another, and even though the sequel ended in an unexpected way, Hit-Girl will always be there to help her bro.

9. Michael De Santa/ Trevor Phillips (Ned Luke/Steve Ogg) - Grand Theft Auto V
This particular relationship is probably one that makes me chuckle the most. From what we can surmise from stories told by Michael, Trevor, and Lester, Michael and Trevor where a pair of stick up men working in the fictional town of North Yankton. Their first outing invovled a small bank where Trevor was immediatly recognized, Michael and Trevor take care of business the old fashioned way; Trevor shoots the bank teller in the face with a flair gun, the burning flesh causes him to vomit and Michael to panic. From then on they have been the best set of tumultuos buddies ever. You can't help but smile during the "Option C" ending and how they forgive each other in a weird way. In the end we can only hope Trevor and Michael are still out there, causing mayhem and doing jobs the only way they know how.... As bros.

8. Dale Denton/Saul Silver (Seth Rogen/James Franco) - Pineapple Express
Dale Denton and Saul Silver are your average stoners. Lazy, moronic, selfish, but they are thrusted into a dangerous situation where they can only rely on each other. In my opinion these two are the new Cheech and Chong; the best part is Rogen and Franco have a great off-screen relationship as they do on-screen. Anything with Rogen and Franco attached i'll see.

7.  Dom/Marcus (Carlos Ferrero/ John DiMaggio) - Gears of War Franchise
This was a bromance that could really put a tear to your eye. The best part about this particular one was the strength in their loyalty, with all of the hard times each of them have experience - one never fails to have his bro's back. The games are chock full of a lot of sweet moments.

6. Jesse Pinkman/ Walter White (Aaron Paul/ Bryan Cranston) - Breaking Bad
Yeah, I'm not going to say anything about this bro-pack that hasn't already been said. It's a cliche choice, a choice you've heard a million times, but still my favorites bro's to come out of television in recent years. Hank was an obese Bruce Willis, Marie and Skylar were both bitches, Walter Jr. reminded me too much of a South Park character for me to take him seriously, these two made the show.

5. Beavis/ Butt-Head (Mike Judge) - Beavis and Butt-Head
This is a classic example of a bromance that is slightly volatile. These two often times insult or abuse each other, but the fact that no one else finds either of them tolerable means they are pretty much all each other has. The antics of these two make for a pretty heart warming set of bro's.

4. Ron Perlman/ Guillermo Del Toro - Hellboy Franchise, Pacific Rim, Cronos.
These two have had one long and prosperous relationship. In my opinion, they have churned out hit after hit. It's great too see two people who have different perspectives get along to make movies for the sake of making good movies. I will be the first in line to see anything with Perlman attached, so Del Toro is an added plus.

3. Tyler Durden/Jack (Brad Pitt/Edward Norton) - Fight Club.
Considered to this day an absolute cult classic, this is probably the bro-iest couple in fictional history. It's a mutual respect, caring, and genuine concern for one another even though the relationship is based around excessive violence. Jack just wants things the way they used to be where they would get drunk and hang out, Tyler wants Jack to see things his way; which always proves the best bros never see eye-to-eye.

2. Simon Pegg/ Nick Frost - Hot Fuzz, The World's End, Shaun of The Dead, Paul
You think i'm going to make a list of the best bro's without naming Angel and Butterman, Shaun and Ed, Gary King and Andy Knightly.... the dorks in Paul? These guys have written and starred together in some of the funniest movies of this generation, and even the crappiest one is still good for some great laughs. These guys deserve number 2 because... well... They are just the best of friends. You can see the comradery in their work.

1. Ghostbusters Gang (Bill Murray/Harold Ramis/Dan Akroyd/Ernie Hudson.) - Ghostbusters Franchise
This one was such an easy choice. These guys- from Ramis to Murray paved the way for today's brightest and best comedians. Their work is pivotal to 80's culture, and i should even mention a few names missing:Chevy Chase, John Candy, Martin Short, Steve Martin just to name a few. These guys ooze comedic gold. These are the bro-iest bro's you'll ever bro.

Hopefully this inspired you to get in contact with your best bro and re-connnect. Get a beer, chase some broads, smoke a bowel, solve a crime, cauze anarchy, fight zombies, bust ghosts, whatever activity you and your bro do- go do it. leave a comment.

Special Shout-out to my bro's on this site (The only four people on this site i can tolerate.) : HeisenbergSaysRelax, Lozzy, DrDoom, IncredibleHulksta.

I agree with most of these choices. Fantastic job.

I especially like the last part where I'm mentioned as being tolerable. I also like that I'm listed first out of the four people. That's my favorite part.

@JDwyler444

Nothing that I "disagree" with per say. I'm not a huge fan of the video game choices, but that's mostly 'cause I'm not fond of either duo. In terms of video games I would have gone with Ellie and Joel from TLOU. But you're a bigger fan of the GTA games than I am, so I understand that choice.

And then on the Pineapple Express one, you could have done it the same way you did Perlman/Del Toro and just had Rogen/Franco as a duo instead of the characters from Pineapple Express. It would have been a little more universal in it's appeal.

But still, I like what you've got here. Kick-Ass/Hit-Girl and Pegg/Frost would be my favorites of the entire list.

Great list. I would have placed all those on my list. Having Pineapple Express up there made me jump for joy. Although, my personal favorite would have to be Dillon and Dutch from Predator.

Michael de Santa is awesome, Rogen and Franco were hilarious in Pineapple Express, and Breaking Bad was great. Fight Club is still the best movie of all time (Norton's name is never said. He's just the Narrator)
