VIDEO: Red Letter Media Reviews Of Last Year's CBMs

Most of you know of Harry Plinkett's infamous Star Wars prequel reviews, but did you know the guys behind that character have their own show called Half In The Bag? Check out their vids..

I noticed while discussing Plinkett's review of Indiana Jones & The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull in the comments section, that many of you were surprised to find that the Red Letter Media lads (Mike Stoklasa and Jay Bauman) had their own review show, so I decided to post a few vids. They have covered most of last years biggest CBMs (no Green Lantern though..yet!) including X-Men: First Class, Captain America: TFA and Thor. None are as in depth as Plinkett's reviews, but most are hilarious. My personal favorite is their take on Transformers: DOTM, which they had to watch in shifts.

You may want to skip the Cowboys & Aliens one, they actually kind of enjoyed it. But be sure to head over to their site (link below) and check out the rest of their (supposed to be) weekly reviews.

the guy on the left seems to be more reasonable to the other guy, the guy on the right seems to be so picky

They nitpick for comedic effect at times, others they are just being thorough I guess. But then I'm a bit of nit picker myself so..

What "Mass Murder" There was no Mass Murder in the first Matrix movie, the world they cohabited in was clearly defined as black and white, the people where used as tools so unless you were a friend then you would be used as a foe, there was no way to turn that into shades of grey to please those who don't understand the reality of unavoidable collateral damage because they're too spoonfed by hollywood crap where the hero finds a nice way around everything.

As for Matrix Reloaded and Revolutions, they were beyond the scope of the average popcorn audience. Simply ground breaking in their aspirations and delivery. Neo eventually revealed as the nexus that will unite all three representations of mind, body and spirit to make the body whole, i.e. the sentient Machines, the sentient Programs and the sentient Humans. Co-existence instead of utter humiliation and defeat of the enemy as is the usual hollywood crap. Naturally not a concept for the average popcorn audience spoonfed on a diet of bad guys and enemies must always get utterly defeated in the end and the hero must get the girl and the glory. Way to mature and intelligent a series of movies that will never be appreciated in their time of this because of all the brainless crap people regress to entertain themselves with.

The Matrix sequels were clearly JUST pretentious enough to actually fool some people into thinking they made some sense. Talk about delusions of grandeur. A pair of absolute turkeys.

Of course the Matrix was NOT meant to be a trilogy. Though I'm sure the Wachowskis quickly changed their tune when the money bags were waived in front of them.

The first Matrix film stands on it's own two legs. Those sequels should have been stretched over an HBO tv series.
