Why Are MEN Being Over-sexualized in Comic Book Movies?

Ok getting straight down to business. Look at Tony Stark, Bruce Wayne, all they do is walk around kissing girls. Random girls. Playboys. The men in these films are constantly shown just to be sexual and getting all the girls.

This article is in response to THIS editorial about the exploitation of women in comics and comic book movies.

Look at all these photos with men in comic book movies with their shirts off! Even in posters!












I'm excluding a banner that is so uncloathed it was too much to be posted. Also Hugh Jackman is too sexual to post on here.

Meanwhile the women are the ones getting solid story arcs. The men are being underwritten in order to have sex appeal. Meanwhile Black Widow destroys the portal. Pepper kills Killian, Lois Lane comes up with the plan to destroy the world breaker. Catwoman had to save Batman, and we already know Jane is going to be using her science to save the world in the upcoming Thor Film. Meanwhile all Thor will be doing is taking his shirt off and hitting up chicks. It’s horrible, and we need to stop using the men in these films.

You know, you have a good point, Doyouliftyoyoyo.
Men are sexualized in comics just like women are.
Both create standards that the average man and woman don't meet.

The problem I have though is that this article is poorly thought-out, ill planned and slapped together. You really didn't take the time to explain your argument and challenge the notion that women are the only gender to be reduced to sexual imagery in the comic world.

This is not a rebuttal article (it's not even two paragraphs), it's more of a rebuttal post.

But I do get your point.
Just wish you spent more time with it.

I'm not sure if you are seriously providing a counter point (though obviously exaggerated), or if you are making fun of the people who try to respond this way. I think that other editorial made some good points, though perhaps with bad examples. Men are sexualized too, but not in the same way and to the same extent as women.

Why do chicks get to see us shirtless but were considered pigs if we see girls topless? Because when girls got "equal" rights they were suddenly allowed to manipulate the rules. I'm not trying to offend, but if you want EQUAL rights we need to actually have equal rights and not just have men constantly bitched about just because we look at women shirtless. I like my superhero movies to thoroughly sexualize everyone. I wouldn't go if all the men didn't have six packs and implied great sexual prowess and all the women didn't have asses I wish I could eat diner off of.

I know it's satire, but it's true, if you want equality ACTUALLY HAVE EQUALITY. Back in the day, say Ancient Greece and even some parts of the world today, they just left or leave their cleavage out all the time, why? Because they know that it doesn't mean anything. Society has morphed women into being insecure about nudity, men too to an extent. It's commonplace in a country say, Dubai or some parts of Spain and the men don't get horny over it. Sure, they're attracted but they're not considered horny pigs. People don't care.
