Replacing Harrison Ford is an impossible task, but Disney and Lucasfilm have tried by casting Alden Ehrenreich (Hail, Caesar!) as Han Solo in Phil Lord and Christopher Miller's currently untitled spinoff.

The movie is currently shooting and TMZ has managed to get some photos of the actor suited as the beloved space pirate along with some very intriguing shots of some suped up speeders, one of which is being piloted by Solo. No other familiar faces have been spotted, but this leak could very well lead to Disney deciding to release an official image of Ehrenreich in the role within the next few days.

We'll have to wait and see on that front, but you can find the images by following the link below.

Han Solo has the potential to be really good, but an argument about just how necessary it is could definitely be made. There are, after all, a lot of other characters worthy of a movie, but this prequel might still be interesting. What do you guys think? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section.

Hope it's as good as Rogue One. He doesn't look like Han to me but fingers crossed.

@MarvelousMarty - Still think we should have gotten an Obi Wan solo film set after Episode III but before Episode IV detailing his journey into hiding.

@SonOfAGif - Still hoping we will.

@SonOfAGif - Actually, Episode III ending and Rebels S3 told us everything we need to know. He gets to Tatooine and hides there. Simple as that. A Kenobi movie is, in my opinion, pretty useless, as we know almost all his story. The only obscure period is the one between Ep I and II where, if i remember correctly, he meet Dutchess Satine of Mandalore. If you want, you can explore the pre-Ep I stuff but you won't get McGregor, i think.

@MarvelousMarty - They should've went with Steven Strait or Karl Urban at least. Alden is a fantastic actor, but he hardly looks the role. Hopefully he gives a stellar performance.

@FrankieDedo - I agree. I'm not sure why so many people want to know every nano-second of his existence on Tatooine. I mean, the guy had to lay low for about 20 years. That id a lot of time to wring out the knuckle-children with the Force. I don't need to see that.

@MosquitoFarmer - that one movie gave me hope for this man as Han Solo. Just wish he was looking more like Mr. Ford. That hair is ridiculous

@xfan320 - We'll get there. It's a first look at a who-knows-what movie. A large majority was against Rogue One, and it turned out just fine by most regards. There is hope.

This being 'American Graffiti' in space will sadly not happen. So with this film already probably not being what it should be just hoping for a fun 2 hours that doesn't telegraph Han Returning to help Luke in 'ANH'.

After ROGUE ONE DISNEY needs a win. So here's to this!

@capcyclopsftw - the best possible Han Solo story on film would re something bet American graffiti esq. that is where the inspiration for solo came from.

Cool bad boy Cruising the strip with your akward buddy in a suped up hot rod looking for babes, booze, action and trouble.

As for rogue one...not a good movie. DISNEY needs to deleiver.
