I tried to watch it last week. Fell asleep before they got to San Fran... I haven't felt the need to pick it back up again.

So, they never saw "Gojira" either? Oh well, I enjoyed Godzilla and I didn't even need someone to tell me that it was okay to do so. A revolutionary concept, I know.

Really disappointed in this movie especially after my second viewing.
The biggest problem for me in this movie was not the lack of Godzilla but Aaron Taylor-Johnson's [frick]ing wooden acting.

I liked this movie, although all the points made in this video are true lol

@JoshuaGraham

They should have never killed off Brian Cranston, his story was so intriguing and had me hooked from the beginning, then he died, and I didn't care about his boring son.

@IronAngelX

I don't know whether it was the script or Aaron just phoning it in but the character was just so dull. The problem was not the lack of Godzilla but the lack of a proper main lead. Brian Cranston's character actually showed emotion unlike Aaron's.

Agreed 100%. I still enjoy the movie to some extent, I think I just watch the beginning, go to my happy place somewhere in the middle of it all, and return for the end. I don't know exactly why I like, I just do. I do feel that more Godzilla may have countered the negative effect of Aaron's acting in the movie. With that being said, there'll be much more monster madness in Godzilla 2 as promised by Gareth Edwards, hopefully we have a more coherent story-line if he listened to the fans. He's a good director, I enjoyed monsters, they just need to get the script together.

go watch a sin full movie they did a couple years ago that has less sins than amazing movies and you will se how much this has changed.

I loved this movie. I don't care what the haters say. This, Edge of Tomorrow, CA:TWS and GotG were my favorite films this year. Kids today nothing can be serious or have a slow build up everything has to be packed with action or jokes.

Boo CinemaSins - You make long stuff and I have the attention span of a house fly.

Boo CinemaSins - I hate you stuff and always will, but I'll still click on every article featuring one of your videos to post comments.

Boo CinemaSins - You used to be good, but now you're bad, just like everything else in the world that used to be good, but now is bad.

I enjoyed this video. They pretty much echoed my thoughts on the movie exactly. Waste of Cranston. Godzilla was awesome, but there was too little of him. And Elizabeth Olsen is hot.

Only 16 minutes???

I assumed that if TWS was 20, Godzilla would be at least 30.

To decide less sense than the winter soldier? I wish there was more godzilla in the movie. It was a good film but I just wish there was less emphasis on the human characters. Hopefully his guy does a good job on the star wars spinoff

Very very surprised to see all the dislike. I love this movie. Literally cheer every time I watch it.

I honestly didn't feel like there was a lack of Godzilla or too much MUTOs.
I like the way they tied it into history. I like the explanations behind Godzilla and the MUTOs.
I like how they made Godzilla the hero, and not just a giant beast wandering around a crowded city.

My only real gripe is that I just really don't Aaron Taylor Johnson in anything.

To each there own, but I for one loved this movie and can't wait for the sequel(s)

This rubbish had no story at all, it's a generic military simulator where the lead soldier is going from point A to point B with canon fodder redshirts as support and constantly placed in situations with the monsters and miraculously survives every encounter. Rubbish. No story, no sense of danger and no human reaction to seeing giant monsters for the first time.

Dumber than the 1998 film and stocked with stupid one-note characters. Godzilla relegated to the background. Who only serves to function as a contrived and glorified deus ex machina. We get a movie that focuses on two random derivative monsters that no one cares for. In a movie called "Godzilla" that's apparently supposed to be a reboot.

No story, boring Cloverfield monsters, hardly any Godzilla, non-entity characters and to top it off frequent cut-aways from the monster fights and a boring fight in the dark in the climax.

I don't respect any person that says Pacific Rim was better than Godzilla...

The acting of the movie & the "story" were non existent. But it sure did "Look Cool" haha

Interesting that both Marvel and DC have a 'ham and egger' in their next big blockbuster. Who will suck more? Aaron Johnson as QS or the Fast chick as WW?

Only time will tell...
