With recent reports suggesting a possible $130 million to $150 million opening weekend for J.A. Bayona's Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, it sounds like it's going to be a very good summer for our prehistoric friends as they find themselves up against another extinction-level threat.

While tracking this far out tends to be on the conservative side, it should be noted that these early projections are definitely promising, especially considering that the first Jurassic World was only tracking for a possible $115 million to $135 million opening the week of release. However, as we know now, that film managed to destroy expectations and ultimately claimed the record for the biggest opening weekend of all-time. It'll obviously be tough to repeat that performance, but with the current estimations, it certainly has an outside shot of at least matching its previous effort.

Check out the RealD 3D-exclusive poster below:

It’s been four years since theme park and luxury resort Jurassic World was destroyed by dinosaurs out of containment. Isla Nublar now sits abandoned by humans while the surviving dinosaurs fend for themselves in the jungles.

When the island’s dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event. Owen is driven to find Blue, his lead raptor who’s still missing in the wild, and Claire has grown a respect for these creatures she now makes her mission. Arriving on the unstable island as lava begins raining down, their expedition uncovers a conspiracy that could return our entire planet to a perilous order not seen since prehistoric times.

With all of the wonder, adventure and thrills synonymous with one of the most popular and successful series in cinema history, this all-new motion-picture event sees the return of favorite characters and dinosaurs—along with new breeds more awe-inspiring and terrifying than ever before. Welcome to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

Infinitely hyped for the movie, but this poster looks like some fan-art or something.

It's pretty awesome how the new films have really cemented actual dinosaurs as characters rather than just, like, obstacles or killing machines. Blue and Rexy, even the Indominus to a certain extent.

@Nebula - That's one of the reasons why i liked JW, they made me care about the freaking dinosaurs lol

And man i hated the I-Rex, when Owen and Claire found out she was killing the Apatosaurus and many other dinos out of simply sport i was like: "Oh that bitch better get rekt! f**k that" and well watching Rexy and Blue tag team her was awesome, and the final blow ny the Mossasaurus was cherry on top.

@Nebula - I don't know i still think the trex couple and the spinosaurus maybe.

@JosephCronos92 - The final fight is hands down the best moment in the entire film. The first time I watched it, I wasn't feeling it as much (though it's massively grown on me since), but you cannot not love a T-Rex fighting an infinitely cool hybrid-dinosaur and a raptor jumping back and forth atop them. I mean, if that moment isn't epic to you, you're flat-out not human.

@Nebula - damn right, i was so excited for another Jurassic movie at that time and that final showdown matched that excitment. Everything, the music, the climax, the escenography and cinematography were very well done, and my God the music when Blue shows up to battle made go batshit crazy, love it simply epic. The final showdow, the Irex hunt with the raptors and the pterosaurs mayhem and chaos in the park are my favorite moments of the movie.

@Nebula - This whole sequence is blizz to me, love it. And a Raptor on Rexy's back is so freaking good, she knows she has the odds against her but she goes for it. Love it.

I like that they're going to show us more of the dinosaurs I wanted to see since the original Jurassic Park. As for the new movies, well, I thought JW was decent. It's looking like this one might be better.

@MUTO123 - i don't want to but it looks like it, then again ending with the idea that dinosaurs are roaming free in our world now is very interesting and exciting, since i hope we don't go back to the island and better have the movies deal with dinosaurs back as part of our fauna. If they go back to Isla Sorna tho they better blow that shit up as well lol i just don't want to go back to the islands, at least in this one Nublar is going down with grace, but yeah i'll pay for dinosaurs in our times for future movies.
