Happy National Dinosaur Day!

To celebrate, Universal Pictures has shared a great new featurette, revealing never-before-seen behind-the-scenes footage of the animatronics used in Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. The producers also teased that this film will contain more dinosaurs than the first four films combined, which should be music to the ears of longtime fans.

The Tyrannosaurus and Velociraptor are franchise mainstays, so we'll definitely get to spend plenty of time with both, but this time, they'll be joined by the Mosasaurus, Baryonyx, Carnotaurus, Sinoceratops, Stygimoloch and, of course, the genetically engineered Indoraptor, just to name a few.

Watch the new featurette below:

Plus, a new viral video has been released, featuring Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard), asking you to adopt a dinosaur to help save them from a second extinction. The linked website also reveals a number of other dinosaurs that will feature in the film, including the Ankylosaurus, Apatosaurus, Brachiosaurus, Gallimimus, Pteranodon, Stegosaurus, and the Triceratops.

Head to AdoptADino.com to get started.

It’s been three years since theme park and luxury resort Jurassic World was destroyed by dinosaurs out of containment. Isla Nublar now sits abandoned by humans while the surviving dinosaurs fend for themselves in the jungles.

When the island’s dormant volcano begins roaring to life, Owen (Chris Pratt) and Claire (Bryce Dallas Howard) mount a campaign to rescue the remaining dinosaurs from this extinction-level event. Owen is driven to find Blue, his lead raptor who’s still missing in the wild, and Claire has grown a respect for these creatures she now makes her mission. Arriving on the unstable island as lava begins raining down, their expedition uncovers a conspiracy that could return our entire planet to a perilous order not seen since prehistoric times.

With all of the wonder, adventure and thrills synonymous with one of the most popular and successful series in cinema history, this all-new motion-picture event sees the return of favorite characters and dinosaurs—along with new breeds more awe-inspiring and terrifying than ever before. Welcome to Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom.

@HeavyMetal4Life - Not necessarily a good thing...

Remember which Iron Man movie had the most Iron Man suits?

I'll give you a clue.. it also had the most Trevor Slattery's.

I mean, they can generate a million CGI dinosaurs if they wanted on screen.. I'm more interested in an engaging story, let's hope it delivers

I think the new hybrid will still be a highlight like Indominus Rex was. I don't mind more dinos.

Can't wait.

I just wanna see the surfer get eaten and how they'll deal with a f#*!in mossasaur. That could be a movie by itself. I'd see it. Mossassaur, Mossisaur? How the frock do you spell Mosasaurs?

I really don't like the idea of another genetically created dino-hybrid, but hopefully they do something different with it this time.

Jonathan Kasdan was quoted today saying he'd love to do a Lando spin-off film. He even teases that he wants Lobot and Bossk in it if it happens.

This was the original design for Cap's new shield in Infinity War. However, after the guy initially created it, Marvel ended up basically re-creating the shield from scratch and changing it to what we got in the final film.
