JURASSIC WORLD Sequel Will Arrive In The U.K. Two Weeks Ahead Of Schedule

It sounds like Universal is taking a page out of Marvel's book for the 2018 sequel to their monster hit Jurassic World as they've just announced that the Steven Spielberg-produced film will release in the United Kingdom two weeks earlier than its U.S. release. Come check it out!

For the first time since 2011, Marvel Studios doesn't have the highest grossing (domestic) film of the summer as this year, Universal's Jurassic World is top dog with a domestic haul of over $636 million and a monstrous worldwide gross of over $1.58 billion, making it not only the biggest film of the year, but also the third biggest film ever! A sequel to the blockbuster was officially announced in late July with both Chris Pratt & Bryce Dallas Howard confirmed to return and Colin Trevorrow & Derek Connolly announced as screenwriters.

Earlier today, Universal Pictures revealed that the upcoming Jurassic World sequel will arrive in the United Kingdom on June 7, 2018; two weeks ahead of its North American release on June 22. This is a deviation to how Jurassic World was released this past June, but somewhat similar to how some other studios tend to release their big budget projects a week or two ahead of schedule overseas before the eventual domestic release.

What do you guys think? Are you ready for more dinosaurs and more Pratt? Sound off with your thoughts below!

Plus, in case you missed it the first time around, Jurassic World will be heading back to IMAX for one week starting August 28th!

Steven Spielberg returns to executive produce the long-awaited next installment of his groundbreaking Jurassic Park series, Jurassic World. Colin Trevorrow directs the epic action-adventure from a screenplay he wrote with Derek Connolly. Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley join the team as producers.

Jurassic World features:
Director: Colin Trevorrow
Chris Pratt as Owen Grady
Bryce Dallas Howard as Claire Dearing
Vincent D'Onofrio as Vic Hoskins
Jake Johnson as Lowery Cruthers
Irrfan Khan as Simon Masrani
Nick Robinson as Zach Mitchell
Ty Simpkins as Gray Mitchell
B.D. Wong as Dr. Henry Wu
Brian Tee as Katashi Hamada
Omar Sy as Barry
Katie McGrath as Zara Young
Lauren Lapkus as Vivian
Judy Greer as Karen Mitchell
Andy Buckley as Scott Mitchell

Jurassic World is out tearing up theaters everywhere NOW!

I love when popular movies are released overseas first. It means a great working copy of the bootleg will be available by the time it opens in America and I can save $15

I know , A lot of people including on this site didn't like the movie because they wanted AOU to be that monster hit. JW is by no means a masterpiece , from a film quality, but you know what a lot of people including myself go to movies to have fun and excitment. And I'm sorry for all other movies out there, the best movie this year to see on the biggest screen possible is JW,

I imagine it will roll out early across Europe to avoid a first weekend clash with the World Cup on the 14th. Scheduling around the WC will be less of an issue in USA (maybe not so much the popularity issue anymore, but definitely a time-zone issue with it being in Russia)

Just so everybody knows,Godzilla 2 is supposed to be released by WB domestically on June 8th 2018.

WB,FOX and Paramount are the remaining studios that ether release films day and date world wide
or release them domestically first.

That must mean WB intends to release Godzilla first in the states otherwise Godzilla would now be opening
in the UK against Jurassic World 2.
WarnerBrother
WarnerBrother - 8/13/2015, 1:42 PM
I would also add that Godzilla 2 is one of the few Legendary franchises retained by WB after
the two studios ended their relationship and Legendary hooked up with Universal on Jurassic World.

I wouldn't be shocked if WB intends to release Godzilla 2 in the UK after its June 8th 2018 US
release maybe on June 22nd 2018,so Universal and Legendary are returning the favor.
