SHH asked Mickey Rourke about returning to his role in the Sin City sequel. Here's what he said...

"No, I'm not interested in that right now. That's not a reality right now. It's pissing in the wind," Rourke admitted. "There's different factions going different directions there. I don't know. That's three hours of make up and I'm claustrophobic, so I'm going to have to work something out."

In my opinion Rourke was an amazing Marv. He was gruff, physically fit and cool as can be. It will be truly dissapointing if he does not reprise his role.
Who else could fill it???

Listen to tjdr59!

Marv was the best part of Sin City. He nailed that role. He may not have a huge starring role in A Dame to Kill For, but they would most definitely include Silent Night and Just Another Saturday Night in either Sin City 2 or 3.

I watched the special features on Sin City, each actor was on the set for a week or two tops. This is easy money and it's not like he's got anything else to do.

It finally sounds like they are actually going to start it this time and if they have to postpone it for him I am going to flip so much F. There will be F everywhere, that's how much F I will flip.

It's like saying they are going to replace Heath Ledger in the next Batman or Ron Perlman in the next Hellboy. No matter how good the replacement does, fans are not going to be happy.

mmm, if he doesn't accept could he just lend his voice? They could probably make a CG Marv and just have Rourke's voice. Just an idea.

he would be in two but not three. it seems dumb to me to include him in 3 if its going to be Hell and Back, as it would just be a cameo from a BB&B story that they could include in 2. Having said that, it might be confusing to overlap two stories containing the same character....

either way he needs to be cast as Marv wherever Marv is

Have you seen Rourke lately? He doesn't even need to sit in the make-up chair for 3hrs!... simply attach a couple of band-aids and voila!!

yeah it would suck to have to replace him, even if marvs role is a small one. see theres talk of rourke being up for an oscar for the wrestler..id say thats part of the reason he wants to distance himself from the comic book type movie now..because that excuse about the make up..pleeeeeease.

I don't think they should replace Ledger if it isn't necessary, but if they come up with another awesome Joker story then I'm all for it. Maybe something with him and Harley Quinn. She could do his dirty work while he's behind bars. That's what I want to see.

I think they were planning on shooting 2 and 3 at the same time. So if Mickey Rourke would do it, they'd prob shoot his two small stories and include one in 2 and one in 3. Silent Night would be a good opener.

Rebecca Romjin can complain about makeup for her role as Mystique, This is just makeup and some body prosthetics, it's nothing compared to mystique.

What make-up?! Rebecca Romjin was naked, aside from some coloring...
