While it doesn't look like Sony Pictures will share a new look at Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse during CCXP this weekend, the studio has just announced that "A new view from across the #SpiderVerse coming 12.13," and if we were to wager a guess, it's probably a safe bet that the official teaser trailer will launch on December 13.

It's unconfirmed, but it seems probable that the trailer will then be attached to screenings of 20th Century Studios' Avatar: The Way of Water, which is only fitting considering the animated Spider-Verse sequel is one of 2023's most hotly awaited titles.

Plot details remain under lock-and-key, but what we do know is that Miguel O'Hara (Oscar Isaac) will seek out the help of Miles Morales (Shameik Moore), Gwen Stacy (Hailee Steinfeld), and many other beloved Spider-People to stop the unimaginably dangerous Spot (Jason Schwartzman), a villain more powerful than anyone the Spiders have ever encountered.

The cast will feature the voice talents of Oscar Isaac (Miguel O'Hara/Spider-Man 2099), Shameik Moore (Miles Morales/Spider-Man), Hailee Steinfeld (Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman), Jake Johnson (Peter B. Parker/Spider-Man), Brian Tyree Henry (Jefferson Davis), Luna Lauren Vélez (Rio Morales), Issa Rae (Jessica Drew/Spider-Woman), Jason Schwartzman as Spot, Rachel Dratch as the Principal, Shea Whigham as George Stacy, and Jorma Taccone as the Vulture.

The film will also introduce a ton of new Spider-People, including the Japanese Spider-Man and the Scarlet Spider, but it'll likely still be a few months before we learn anything more about who'll be voicing all of those top-secret roles.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse swings exclusively into theaters on June 2, 2023.

Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar®-winning Spider-Verse saga, an epic adventure that will transport Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man across the Multiverse to join forces with Gwen Stacy and a new team of Spider-People to face off with a villain more powerful than anything they have ever encountered. Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse debuts in theaters June 2, 2023.
