The Amazing Spider-Man video game might not be released until June 26th but, based on leaked news and spoilers, the anticipation has been building for weeks. Although I'm looking forward to (virtually) slipping into the webhead's costume again, here are five reasons I just can't wait for The Amazing Spider-Man video game:
1) Free-Roaming
We haven't been able to free-roam the city of New York as Spidey in quite some time and allowing us to do so this time around brings about a host of new adventures in Manhattan. This also means that the fun doesn't end once you've beaten the game -- players can go back, swing around the city, and take in all the sights that Beenox has added into gameplay. Speaking of Beenox...
2) Beenox
Beenox has been the developer behind the last two Spider-Man video games, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions and Spider-Man: Edge of Time, both of which received numerous accolades and praise. I'm confident that Beenox's latest Spider-Man venture won't disappoint!
3) Expanding the Story
Unlike most movie video games which just let you play through the events of the movie, The Amazing Spider-Man takes you one step further on Spider-Man's journey by creating a brand new epilogue to the film. You can continue your Spidey fun by seeing what comes next for our masked hero all right from your controller.
4) Brand New Villains
With a brand new story comes brand new villains and The Amazing Spider-Man video game has no shortage of those! Three new villains will be featured in the game: Black Cat, Iguana, and Rhino. You can also bet that the game will contain many other villains to face, so make sure those web shooters are full!
5) Pre-Order Bonuses
To make the game even more awesome than before, pre-ordering Amazing Spider-Man before the June 26th release date means bonuses for you. If you pre-order the game from Amazon.com, you unlock Stan Lee as a playable character. Ordering from GameStop gets you the Rhino Challenge which allows you to play as Rhino and trash the streets of New York.
So, what are you waiting for? Be sure to pre-order your copy of The Amazing Spider-Man today!
