This is the new Ultimate Clone Saga. It's based on the origin of Ben Reilly, hence the whole hiding in the bushes scene.

Hulk Goblin is so much greater than the classic GG, and makes more sense too. His research is tied to Banner's, so it makes sense that it made him big and green.

Yup.
Years from now when this "Green Goblin" is portrayed in the movies,
and I say THAT'S not THE Green Goblin that everyone knows,
some idiot will say,
"Your just a whiney purest! He's IS based on the comic books . . . just not the comic books YOU like."

I say it now – as I'll say it then – THAT is no "Green Goblin," just because the name is the same. This version is some 1990s Image Comics reject.

Well if Amazing Spider-Man franchise goes as "planned" I'm betting that the final villain of the series would've been Norman Goblin, which would've been the Ultimate Goblin (whereas Harry portrays the 616 Goblin, he's being used as a test subject).

Sort of like if in Spectacular Spider-Man, Harry did become the Goblin (616), and Norman used him as a test to see how the Goblin formula worked.

I hate hulk goblin at first. But now I like him. I like the concept of him being like 616 first, but when he's pissed he goes ultimate, like Lego marvel.

I don't like any of the 'Ultimate' universe content at all. It isn't any more 'adult' the the Marvel Knights/Max stuff and the stories aren't within classic cannon (Unless they do DC comics multiverse story telling garbage). These books seem to appeal to people who are newer readers from around 2000 because it was 'new' at the time and gave them something fresh to follow. I view this Green Goblin the same as the 'Zombie universe' stories. Just throw away content that doesn't have any real lasting importance. It's sad to see them divide their consumer base like this though, especially for this long. The stories of these characters are all in the air now and there isn't a structure for lasting readers to follow.
