Last week Marc Webb tweeted that he would be heading to Rochester for some shoots, and NBC did a story about the shoot as well. Here is the report!

"Action sequences will be shot on Main Street between South Plymouth Avenue and East Avenue, with portions of Main Street closed from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. each day until filming concludes, as late as May 9, officials said."

As known before, a car chase scene will occur, but we now have confirmation that the scene will be shot in Rochester, so if you're in Rochester head down and maybe get a glimpse of the action before the film comes out!

In the sequel, Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield) finds life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can't come quickly enough. Peter hasn't forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen's father to protect her by staying away – but that's a promise he just can't keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past.

Also starring Shailene Woodley, Colm Feore, Paul Giamatti, Sally Field and Chris Cooper, The Amazing Spider-Man 2 hits theaters on May 2, 2014.

If it's a car chase, it'll obviously be Spidey casing down some thugs down the streets. Could it be the Clowns or Mimes that we heard about?

i reckon their for the Time Square scene, good to see andy's Spidey in a chase scene thugs finally.

gonna be cool to actually see new york in a spiderman flick.

Rochester is over 4 hours from NYC by car. That's an awfully long way to swing, especially since the tall buildings start to thin out past Yonkers.
