Jude Law as the Scorpion in the Amazing Spider-Man Franchise.

Jude Law as the Scorpion in the Amazing Spider-Man Franchise.

Jude Law wants to be in a comic book movie and I have a character that I think people will like to see him play, and it is the Scorpion. Can Marc Webb and his team make it happen for the new Spider-Man Franchise?

Jude Law wants to be in a comic book movie. Jude Law expressed interest in being in one after the success of The Avengers last year and other comic book movies. Jude Law needs to be in a franchise that he can be a reoccurring character and not be killed off like a typical franchise with no vision. Jude Law needs to play a character that can maximize on his looks and his acting talent. That's why I feel that he should play the Scorpion.

The Scorpion is powerful, fast, and deadly. Jude Law can portray these adjectives in acting and in physicality. Mac Gargan, the Scorpion was a private investigator that was hired by J. Jonah Jameson to follow Peter Parker to see how he got so great pictures of Spider-Man. Mac agreed to an experiment to challenge Spider-Man to fuse his DNA with a Scorpion. Since Scorpions are naturally predators of the Spider, the Scorpion was a immediate threat to Spider-Man. The Scorpion was bigger, faster, and stronger than Spider-Man, giving him his first toe to toe defeat.

Jude Law should play the Scorpion. At first, I wanted him to play the Riddler, but I don't want him to die off in some movie. I think Jude Law wants to live and play a character multiple times. Especially when they are getting things geared up for the sinister six in the Spider-Man Franchise. Jude Law, become apart of the Marvel Family and play the Scorpion. You'll be glad you did.

Marc Webb, make it happen.

Woah, SpidaTrav

You've been on an editorial massacre this week, haven't you?

Just to point out, your editorials could use length - a whole heap of length. Oh and a whole lot of detail would help too. To achieve this, you may need

1. A clear introduction (providing background info) with a thesis statement (your argument)

2. At least TWO or THREE well written body paragraphs. They should have a point, a proof, and an explanation. No offense, but you didn't really justify anything about Jude Law's appropriateness for Scorpion.

3. A closing paragraph tying everything together neatly.

This is more of an opinionated comment than a full length editorial.

Not trying to be an authority or know-it-all, here. Just wanted to point things out to possibly help you.

Well I have wanted to see Scorpion in the Spiderman movies from back when Toby was playing spidy. So seeing Scorpion could be cool. As for Jude law as Scorpion I am not sure if that is a good fit for him or not. But if he got the part I believe he could do the job.

I feel like the reason he wants to play a comic book character has more to do with it's the cool thing in Hollywood now. Then with really wanting to play a comic book character. As for why you think he should not play the riddler. Who says he has to be killed off?

I don't see any reason the next Batman films has to kill any of the villains. How many times has the Riddler been killed in the comics? I can't think of any right now. But I could see Jude being a good Riddler. Even though I kind of want to see Mattew Fox after seeing him in Alex Cross.
I could see them introduce him in the first film. He could be one of the side villains.

You could have him leaving clues while Batman is chasing the other bad guys. This way he could come back for future films. Plus it shows there is multiple villains Batman comes across & not just one at a time. So this way it fleshes out the world. You could even have Edward Nigma just watching Bruce & him not knowing that he is the Riddler. Which could then lead to some really cool things.

I think even though Jude might just want to play a character from a comic book. Because he thinks it would give him a bigger check. Is okay with me. Because he is a great actor & I believe he would give an interesting portrayal of them. So be it Scorpion, Riddler or anyone else. I think he is up for the job.

@spidatrav what is the obsession with TASM. The movie was mediocre at best. I'm a big CBM fan but if you watch a movie with a character you love and the movie is terrible I know it's hard to accept but you have to, its not the characters fault and it doesn't make you like your favourite character any less but these editorials are also getting out of hand.

Nonsense jude law would fit right in to a nolanesque proper film that happens to be based on a comic than the camp marvel nonsense.

I'd much rather see him play The Joker.

Granted, you aren't being paid. Therefore it makes sense that you won't have an incentive to take your time with editorials.

HOWEVER, an editorial is still an editorial. And editorials are well researched, clear, and concise written pieces. In order for your argument to have merit, you must justify it and provide a basis for your opinion. It must have a definite direction and organization. It isn't sufficient to simply say your opinion and go.

The managers of CBM are nice enough to let ANY member of the community write an editorial. It's still a privilege and not a right. Therefore, it is our responsibility to write well written articles.

Additionally, it's important to keep in mind that ,we users, are defined by the articles we make. Make good editorials and not only do your arguments have more validity, but you also get a better reputation.

To clarify, I'm not trying to hate. I just think you are wrong in thinking that work shouldn't be put into editorials. You write about interesting TOPICS, but I just think the articles themselves could use a bit more.

You pretty much covered everything (albeit forcefully). I laughed at the shitting on the cd analogy haha. I always appreciate well written articles on Cbm because I like learning about and discussing comic book movies.

Airsoft??? Really??? Air soft?? They're cool, definitely, but I do not see a long lasting appeal in them. Man, cbms are so much better, in my opinion.

Oh and you're right. We were never actually hating. Does anyone know what constructive criticism is anymore??? Regardless, I've seen your previous comments on his other articles and I saw that you were actually trying to help. Respect, Brutha.

Man so people just don't want to be helped with anything. ImTheGoodGuy probably went about trying to help in the nicest way possible and you just have to act like a little prick.

I guess I'll say it in the not nice way. Your ideas aren't bad but your editorials suck. They're just plain bad and you're an awful writer. Your welcome.

Make a goddamn EDITORIAL to put these shitty things in, no one wants to see " Bryan caston cast as Daredevil" or someshit in Newsfeed. Make them under Editorial or Fan- Finction. And for the love of GOD MAKE A [frick]NG FAN-SITE.

Yeah this is poorly written. No structure, doesn't flow, ideas aren't connected well. I clicked it cuz I like the idea, but this was hard to read.
