The first footage from Sony Pictures' R-rated Kraven the Hunter movie screened at CinemaCon back in April, giving us a first glimpse of star Aaron Taylor Johnson suited-up as the titular Spider-Man "villain."
The teaser descriptions claimed that Johnson was sporting a version of the character's comic book costume, but a screenshot has now leaked online, and it looks like a very loose take on Kraven's signature outfit.
He's wearing a brown leather vest... and that's about it! No lion details, no fur. To be fair, this version of Kraven is said to be a conservationist, so it wouldn't make much sense for him to be running around in the hide of a slaughtered animal.
We're not sure how long this will stay up, so check out the image at the link below while you can.
The trailer showed Kraven facing-off against a caravan of poachers, who he makes quick - and very violent - work of. We also got a glimpse of Russell Crowe as the Russian father of Taylor-Johnson’s Sergei Kravinoff, and right at the end, it's revealed that a new take on Spider-Man villain the Rhino will be introduced in the movie.
Alessandro Nivola (The Many Saints of Newark) is playing the character, though all we see of him in Rhino mode is the skin on his arm starting to transform into thick hide as he says, "don't you want to know why they call me the Rhino?"
J. C. Chandor directs Kraven, which has a release date of October 6 and also stars Ariana DeBose, Fred Hechinger, and Christopher Abbott.
