Like most teenagers, Peter is trying to figure out who he is and how he got to be the person he is today. Peter is also finding his way with his first high school crush, Gwen Stacy (Stone), and together, they struggle with love, commitment, and secrets. As Spider-Man is set on a collision course with Connors' alter-ego, The Lizard, Peter will make life-altering choices to use his powers and shape his destiny to become a hero.

That did nothing for me, score still sucks arse and Sony's marketing department don't know how to edit clips together.

I seriously think that people who don't like this have never read the comics. His personality is exactly the same. Joking. nerd. etc.

Music sounds very Disney like...which makes sense with marvel and stuff but I really don't know what's wrong with the score. you didn't want spider-man to be dark and gritty but if the music is dark and gritty you don't complain as much.

The fundamental flaw with this movie is that nobody wanted it in the first place. After Spider-man 3, most audiences were like "Yeah, it's time to give Spider-man a rest." But Sony said, "noooo... if we let the license rest, we'll lose it, we've got to fork out another one ASAP." As a result, everything about this movie feels rushed and not well thought out.

I'll reserve final judgement until I see the movie, but yeah, I haven't exactly been wowed yet...

OOOO Batman Begins but with Spider-Man AND its dark and gritty, yippie *rolls eyes*. This movie just keeps getting worse and worse for me I was tired of Spider-Man after the 2nd film by Sam Raimi and this version looks like a rip-off of Batman Begins with only half the script and half the acting. Will probably skip this and just wait until July hits to see what will probably be the comic book film of the summer.

Looks great but the score sounds a little "amateur", especially considering James Horner.

I am glad they tried to use more practical effects rather than all CGI, but I do have a few comments:

Unneccesary flip into back of pickup truck :P

Not a fan of him making constant little "funny" comments while swinging, too cartoony. A few woo-hoos is plenty.

Spielberg movie music was a little much.

Lol at Denis Leary being, well, Denis Leary.

How can anyone nt be impressed by how marc webbs directed these scenes, and the amazing work the tech guys have done, that small minute of swinging was more impressive and inspired then any of raimis, the more i see the more this feels like a real adapatation of spiderman to the screen, not that i dont love raimis films just these feel like the real spidey!

@ IrishAvenger
Well...isn't that what the clip was about?
It even says at the top "Shows off really swinging effects".

@ TheBatman50k
I'm so sick and tired of every movie called bad in comparison
to TDKR. Get out of here Batman fanboys. We don't want to hear about how
TDK is the "greatest film ever" or how your towards Nolan.
This movie looks nothing like Batman Begins. That though didn't jumped into my mind
and I'm pretty sure it didn't in anyone else's.
That's such a tired argument, like how this movie will be like Twilight.
First off, the colors in this clip were more vibrant than anything in any of the Batman movies.
Second, there was sarcasm during th clip, and the current Batman movies contain little to no comedy or mockery. Third, the music is much more alive and up beat than anything in the Batman movies, who's music is typically gloomy and dark.
The only similarity is that it's night, which is stupid to say it's a rip off because it has a scene durin the night. I swear, the arguments against this movie are almost pathetic, to the point where it sounds like people are complaining just so they can complain.

Ya the score is pretty much like the last trilogy, happy, fun, exciting. Well at least I this clip.

"Woahh watch out im swinging here!"

Love it, now this is the spidey i know and love, sarcasm as much as possible.

if anyone watched the recent avengers episode with spiderman he uses a line "heads up smiley" before kicking the guy in the face, i hope he uses something alone those lines on the lizard, it would fit perfectly.
CrimsonArk
CrimsonArk - 6/6/2012, 11:06 AM
So before people were complain that the movie was using too much CGI...
Now they're complaining that the practical effects don't work as well as the CGI..
God, I dislike nerds. They just complain and whine and don't allow change.
The ones that hold everything back. You'll complain about thongs that stay the same, but you'll also complain about things that change. It's just a constant cycle of rage and whining.
Unless, of course it has anything to do with Nolan's Batman. Batman could be a homosexual in TDKR, but I bet people wouldn't complain about it as much as they complain about anything and everything to do with this, or any other movie for that matter.
