This may not seem like much of a spoiler at this point, but just in case you still haven't seen Spider-Man: No Way Home yet, we will be discussing major plot details from this point on.
Andrew Garfield returned as his take on Spider-Man to swing into action alongside Tobey Maguire and Tom Holland's versions of the webhead in No Way Home, and The Amazing Spider-Man star left such a big impression on fans that #MakeTASM3 began trending on social media shortly after the movie's release.
A "rumor" did the rounds that Sony Pictures was planning a new movie featuring Garfield's wall-crawler, and while there was no truth to this report, it is hard to believe the studio hasn't at least taken note of the huge outpouring of support.
The actor was asked outright if he'd been contacted about donning the red and blue suit again while speaking with Josh Horowitz on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, and simply responded that he "ain't got the call." Garfield went on to reassure Horowitz that he's on the level, but after repeatedly denying his involvement in No Way Home prior to the movie swinging into theaters, something tells us he can't be fully trusted!
We doubt there are any plans in place to continue The Amazing Spider-Man franchise, but that doesn't mean we won't see Garfield back as the iconic hero in some capacity in the future.
