Spider-Man: No Way Home is set to swing back into theaters on September 2, and details of the new scenes that'll feature in this "More Fun Stuff" version of the superhero blockbuster have begun to find their way online.

Spoilers ahead!

We're not going to share in-depth breakdowns of every new moment here (they're really nothing to write home about, anyway), but arguably the most interesting leak reveals that this extended cut of No Way Home will include a brand-new post-credits scene.

The theatrical version simply showcased the trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, but those who decide to check out the threequel again this weekend will reportedly see a new Betty Brant news segment highlighting her schoolfriends' adventures over the course of the three movies. The kicker? Peter Parker is absent from all of the photos.

While not exactly an Earth-shattering reveal, this does give us a better idea of how the spell Doctor Strange cast towards the end of the film works. It seems erasing Parker from memory also removes him from all documented evidence of his existence, which should have intriguing ramifications for the character moving forward.

What do you guys think? Is this enticing enough to get you back to the theater to check out the re-release?

For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero's identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.

Spider-Man: No Way Home returns to theaters this Friday.

Some of those scenes shouldve been kept, the matt one would make a Nice one shot but overall nothing that warrants a second viewing at the theatre

If anything I'd have gone to watch this to see Maguire and Garfield arrive back in their respective universes.

...what? No way home did have a credit scene addressing venom.

@Origame - That was mid-credit scene (at least in the theaters). This new one takes places after all the credits have rolled.

@Odin - I think that's a semantic argument. In this case the article makes it out like the Dr strange trailer was the only thing audiences would get from watching the credits.

@Origame - Yeah, that's fair. It's kind of odd not to acknowledge the Venom-scene, espcially since it might end up having quite of ramifications in the future of the franchise.

It would definitely break the established rules of time travel in the MCU (or not, depending on how they want to handle the multiverse aspect), but it would be cool to see a one-shot or something of Tobey returning and meeting a reformed Octavius, aged up to reflect Tobey's current time. See what he's done with the world and whatnot, with the information he learned in the MCU about nano-tech and arc reactors. Would make a fun What-If type show.

@SheepishOne - I think they created a new timeline with each villain they send back. Like the original versions of Raimi & Webb timelines still exist in the multiverse, but now there are also at least a few alternatives where villains survive. It would otherwise be kind of paradoxical, since curing first villains like Goblin would've probably changed the future events too, thus villains like Doc Ock or Sandman might've never existed. And how could they have then even influenced the events of No Way Home.

@SheepishOne - I don't think any rules are broken.

Since they sent back completely different people to their timelines, I'd say some new timelines were created. So we still have the original timelines we can see in the older movies, and now also have five timelines with reformed villains, and two timelines where Andrew and Tobey returned to.

That atleast, if they stick to Endgame's rules (the correct ones!), but since they have already thrown that out the window a few times I doubt it means anything anymore.

@SheepishOne - Reformed octavius. yawwnn.

@Razorface1 - Hey reformed doesn't have to mean "good guy". Electro was technically reformed in No Way Home. I just mean reformed as in changed. Octavius isn't a slave to his arms anymore, which means if he remains a villain, it's of his own design.
