Thanks to the pandemic, release dates have been all over the place this year. In the past, it's been commonplace for Marvel Studios movies to arrive in the UK as early as two or three weeks before their eventual U.S. debut, and it's now been confirmed that Spider-Man: No Way Home will hit Great Britain a little sooner than other parts of the world.
Digital Spy has confirmed with Sony Pictures that the highly anticipated threequel will swing into UK cinemas on Wednesday, December 15. That's two days earlier than expected and around 18 hours or so before U.S. screenings begin on Thursday evening.
Needless to say, this will make it that little bit harder for U.S. fans to avoid spoilers.
However, for those in the UK, this is definitely exciting as the wait for Spider-Man: No Way Home has been a long one, and 48 hours will make a huge difference to those desperate to watch this Multiversal adventure. In related news. we're hearing rumblings that the movie's runtime is 2 hours, 49 minutes, but that hasn't been confirmed as of right now.
"For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero," reads the movie's synopsis. "When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man."
Among the film's confirmed cast members are Tom Holland, Zendaya, Benedict Cumberbatch, Jon Favreau, Jacob Batalon, Marisa Tomei, J. B. Smoove, Benedict Wong, Alfred Molina, and Jamie Foxx.
Spider-Man: No Way Home arrives in U.S. on December 17.
