Let's start with Spider-Man 2, the best film of the three. Over on James Carson's website, there is a rather tantalizing image in the Spider-Man 2 folder. It is of Spidey's feline ally, Black Cat/Felicia Hardy (image on the right). We've known for awhile that Black Cat was at one point early drafts of the script included the character, but this is our first look at a possible costume for her. Snazzy!

Next, we have artwork produced for Raimi's original Spider-Man film. These images include alternate designs for the Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe) costume, Spider-Man's (Tobey Maguire) mask and web-shooters.

Lastly, thee pieces of concept art that feature Flint "Sandman" Marko (Thomas Haden Church) materializing at the beach as a extravagant sand castle, for his ill daughter, Penny (Perla Haney-Jardine). This scene was in the original screenplay, but it was cut to make more room for Venom (Topher Grace). A character that was forced upon Raimi by Sony, and with the urging of producer Avi Arad.

Raimi's trilogy is great! Reboot sucks. Garfield - totaly not Parker (Garfield is a cat XD), he is annoying hipster! Kill all hipsters for mainstream industry!

Yeah the purple & green would've, oh I don't know, actually looked SOMEWHAT like the Green Goblin's supposed to? lol.... and why doesn't everyone cry about Spidey wanting to quit after only ONE movie...oh yeah, they've just gotta hard-on against Nolan's Batman.

The Black Cat and Sandman art I haven't seen, but the Goblin, Spidey and web-shooter concepts aren't new, they were featured behind the scenes on the original Spider-Man DVD & Blu Ray, still awesome nevertheless.

@ thewolfx

No truer words have been spoken. We all had Issues with some of the things that Raimi did with Spider-man but even with all its flaws, his Spider-man series overall was one of the best.

@BlackJack10 - What!?!? The 2nd one was by far the best of the 3.

Awww... the Sandman sand castle thing looks like it came from a great deleted scene... one that would have given us exactly the emotional connection to Flint and his daughter that the movie was so sorely missing...

The Goblin designs suck, though. And that Black Cat is okay.

I think the movies themselves got most of the characters' looks right. Even Goblin.

Spiderman 3 was still better than that medicore, uninspired, tactless blatant cash grab known as The Amazing Spiderman that didn't know what type of film it wanted it to be. "The Amazing rehash" is what it should be called. Spiderman 3 at least had scope and scale, that sub-standard imitation that was released last year felt like a TV movie ugh, something Raimi's movies never felt like.

On the concept art, the fourth one with the red goggles is really good, hopefully the Green Goblin looks like that in the next film and not something that looks laughable like in the comics, design just wont translate well into live action i'm afraid i'm afraid.

Wow, that fourth Goblin concept is incredible. Damn fools chose the wrong one. And of course, Black Cat looms like every other superheroine design.

@Ocelot, rehash? what did you expect? Raimi didn't event spider-man's origin. Plus SM3 was still crap it doesn't matter if it felt big in scale.

Spider-man 2 is just.. mjjeehh.. It has a boring villain and it's really slow! I just like spider-man 1 and TASM.

I guess I'm one of the few people out there that actually likes the suit they used for the movie . . . I don't get all the Power Ranger comparisons. Have any of you ever watched Power Rangers? This suit is 100x more badass then any costume in Power Rangers, and this is coming from big Power Rangers fan! He is a great villain with a great costume to boot. Raimi's Spider-Man and Spider-Man 2 are amazing films and they did a great job with the costumes . . . except for Venom. I will never forgive them for that.

So in other words, we were never going to get a decent Green Goblin costume from Rami.
