Starring Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Denis Leary as Captain George Stacy, Rhys Ifans as Curt Connors, Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben and Sally Field as Aunt May, The Amazing Spider-Man is set to hit theaters in 3D on July 3, 2012. The movie is directed by Marc Webb.

I watched a "first look" on E! aaaaand I don't know now.... It's really dark, and the first-person thing..... I like the way it was before. We'll see

im just glad to see a new take on things. i love sam raimi, but its pretty cool to see something different. and i love the first person thing, how many times have we seen spidey just swinging around? not that it isnt cool, but lets see something new.

this suit stinks. Also, how come whoever designed it couldn't come up with a new spidey symbol more accurate to the comics?? Looks like they to Raimi's spidey symbol and made it bigger with ugly blue lines going through it. Thats not creative.

I agree with GrandRapidsHero. This movie looks to have a few new tricks that haven't been seen before, such as Peter Parker's backstory involving his parents, Gwen,
Dr. Connors/Lizard and just in general a fresh reimagining on his origins. I also like the high school thing bc it makes him even more of a realistic hero. Can't wait!

The high school student's quite the seamstress.I guess his new super powers enable him the ability to preform movie wardrobe dept.quality textiles on Aunt May's sewing machine in the basement.
The movie will probably be cool though.

May as well add me to that list, Jack, because I think the new suit is crap, too.

And I WAS pretty hyped for this movie despite the suit, until I saw the trailer earlier today. Dark, brooding. That's Batman, not Spider-Man.

Still too soon to say for sure but that trailer really gave me doubts, whereas before I had none.

Hate is a legitimate human emotion.A person is entitled to express it now and then.Why I hate liver,pubic hair on bar soap,the milk left out of the fridge,a flat tire when it's raining,a hole in a condom...child support...working 3 job!!!...spiteful ex's!!!...,but I digress.Oh yeah,and people with more than 10 items in the 10 or less checkout. as far as spidey's costume is concerned; i think it's spot on...remeber his costume is home made... it's supposed to look tacky. I remeber the old Ditko/Lee stories where his costume didn't quite fit and he was constantly repairing it...so yeah I like it.
