In “The Amazing Spider-Man™ 2,” for Peter Parker (Andrew Garfield), life is busy – between taking out the bad guys as Spider-Man and spending time with the person he loves, Gwen (Emma Stone), high school graduation can’t come quickly enough. Peter hasn’t forgotten about the promise he made to Gwen’s father to protect her by staying away – but that’s a promise he just can’t keep. Things will change for Peter when a new villain, Electro (Jamie Foxx), emerges, an old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, and Peter uncovers new clues about his past. The film is directed by Marc Webb from a screenplay by Alex Kurtzman & Roberto Orci & Jeff Pinkner, with a previous draft by James Vanderbilt, and based on the Marvel Comic Book by Stan Lee and Steve Ditko. Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach are the producers. The latest chapter in the Spider-Man story is set for release in 3D on May 2, 2014.

The lights in his hood are obviously for enhancing the electrifying look on his face. Thought I said that, before some dumbass makes a dumbass comment.
Oh, and by the way, he looks pretty badass to me. Still needs work, but he doesn't look bad. I can't wait to see the final touches they do to his look.

yeah, the lights in the hoodie will work as a lighting reference for the VFX team...

This is waaaaay better than the classic Electro look of a green spandex with yellow bolts.

Too bad so much of TASM was a fail.

Yea, while the pics look goofy as [frick], i'm sure they've got something planned that'l make it look better on screen.
I still think TASM 1 sucked and that we don't need a new franchise, but i love Jamie Foxx enough to want to see his version of Electro.

Holy [frick], it looks even more scarier with the pratical effects. Can't wait to see actual electricity flowing through his vein after the effects are added.

@TayDee

Most are butthurt DC/Nolan fanboys. It happens within all fanbases. DC fans are jealous and worried that The Amazing Spider-Man saga could cast a shadow on their precious "TDK Trilogy". A reboot is DC's biggest achievement, so they fear TASM can steal the spotlight. As far as I'm concerned, The Amazing Spider-Man has everything to become The Spider-Man of this generation just like Nolan did with his Batman.

He looks f'in awesome! Unfortunately, I don't read Ultimates, so this has nothing to do with Electro for me.

Crap, at least there's Rhino.

i freakin' love it. looks awesome. and i'm sure the LED lights will be edited later on...maybe a little CGI electricity around his face, which would be even sweeter. TASM2 faith has increased.

up next, Giamatti Rhino pics! lol

@Rex dumbass? someone pissed in your cheerios this morning. I actually think the makeup looks cool, the hoodie and jeans on the other hand are too generic to be the actual costume he walks around in...maybe

@Ramona it's surprisingly mostly marvel fanboys who come on here to hate. I'm talking about the marvel studio fanboys. Anything that's not from that studio is crap to them

Looks cool. Those lights are probably some kind of black light that enhance the luminescent body paint he's got on his skin. Obviously they'll be edited out in post production.
