THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 'Daily Bugle' Viral Confirms That Dr. Ratha Is Dead

One of the biggest plot holes in The Amazing Spider-Man was the unrevealed fate of Oscorp's Dr. Rajit Ratha (played by Irrfan Khan). While an alternate scene showed him being killed by The Lizard, The Amazing Spider-Man 2's 'Daily Bugle' viral site confirms that he is indeed dead. Check it out!

In The Amazing Spider-Man, the fate of Dr. Rajit Ratha was never revealed after Spidey saved him from The Lizard's first attack, but an alternate scene would later give us an answer of sorts as it showed him being killed by the villain. While reshoots mean that no longer fits into the reboot's narrative, it appears as if the following obituary (which is written by Dilbert Trilby, a minor character from the comics) at least confirms that The Lizard did indeed somehow get his claws on him! Whether this will be referenced in The Amazing Spider-Man 2 remains to be seen! That scene - which dropped some hints at "The Untold Story" we never actually got to see - can be viewed below.

The New York City Coroner’s Office yesterday positively identified a badly decomposed body found in the sewers beneath lower Manhattan as that of Dr. Rajit Ratha, 46, formerly of Oscorp Industries. A resident of New York City, Ratha was born on March 13, 1967 in Jaipur, India. Ratha was the Director of Business Development in the Biogenetic Division of Oscorp in Manhattan.

Let's hope TASM2 is without plot holes. And is also better than 'okay'. Because honestly, no one wants a just 'okay' Spider-Man movie.

@SlaveMasterFlexXx That's because Iron Man 3 was fking terrible when it originally came out.

I got both my copies for free since I'm a reviewer, but I actually liked IM3 more when I watched my review copy and didn't like Man of Steel as much when I watched my review copy.

Man of Steel is much better in IMAX compared to home viewings, where Iron Man 3 didn't really benefit from theatre viewings. I mean I have a 60'' screening room, so it's still decent sized, but Man of Steel really got most of its flavor from being in IMAX, while it doesn't matter where you watch IM3.

Although, I still found Downey's performance annoying in IM3, which I would never have imagined when it was coming out. IM3 was probably my most anticipated film in quite a few years, so I definitely wasn't bias, if anything I expected it to be incredible.

I don't see why they need to confirm his death when he wasn't even significant in the first place.

I just laugh at the people who say TASM is bad.

Lol.

On its worst day, it's better than IM3, MoS, and judging by the reviews, T:TDW, as well.

Nuff said, trolls.
