MarketSaw have been sent a set photo from The Amazing Spider-Man featuring the filming of yet another funeral scene. We've already caught a glimpse of one being shot last year (with Gwen Stacy and Flash Thopmson in attendence) but it's believed that this is in fact for a different part of the movie. While it's obvious that one of them is more than likely for Uncle Ben, it's unknown who the other victim might be. Captain George Stacy? Curt Connors? Someone else entirely?

With an all star cast that includes Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Denis Leary as Captain George Stacy, Rhys Ifans as Curt Connors, Martin Sheen as Uncle Ben and Sally Field as Aunt May, The Amazing Spider-Man is set to be released in 3D on July 3, 2012!

Maybe they are filming the funeral for the death of the Spider-Man film franchise in advance.

I actually saw this earlier but here's the thing, how do we know this is another funeral and not simply a wide shot exterior of the same one as last time?

I'd venture to say the two locations will be used for one scene in the film. Movie magic and whatnot.

It is indeed the same one. As jazzman said...the umbrellas make it obvious.

@jazzman... :P you're wrong, one of the MAIN reasons why Peter Parker decided to take the use of his powers seriously WAS due to the DEATH of Uncle Ben by inadvertently not stopping a thief when he had a chance to. IF the new film messes up that crucial piece of the origin where he learns that "with great power must come with great responsibility", then I will walk out of the movie when it shows and not bother watching the rest of it.... then add that to the list of things I already hate about the movie other than the stupid costume.

I agree with theGoldenAvenger.

I was looking forward to Raimi's #4, especially after a disappointing #3. I don't like anything I've seen of this one so far. I do remain open-minded to the fact that I might enjoy this film.

Maybe a reshoot of Gwens fathers funeral? Or (I hope not) the death of Uncle Ben?
