THE AMAZING SPIDER-MAN 2 Gets An Honest Trailer & An Everything Wrong With Video

To critique The Amazing Spider-Man 2, the folks over at Screen Junkies & CinemaSins decided to collaborate and swap duties in making the next installments in their respective Honest Trailer and "Everything Wrong With" YouTube video series. Come check it out!

With the uncertain status of The Amazing Spider-Man 3, it looks like Screen Junkies & CinemaSins decided to tackle Marc Webb's The Amazing Spider-Man 2 a little earlier than they normally would. While it grossed $708 million at the box office and is currently the 5th highest grossing film of the year, it was considered a disappointment when compared to past Spider-Man films and was also less than favorably received by fans and critics alike.

The film's performance has seemingly left Sony's entire Spider-Man franchise in flux. Their focus now looks to have shifted from Spider-Man over to a Sinister Six film, a female Spidey character (Black Cat?) film, and a Venom/Carnage film. As a lifelong Spider-Man fan, it is certainly a disappointment to say the least.

You can enjoy both the Honest Trailer, done by CinemaSins, and the Everything Wrong With video, done by Screen Junkies, below!

We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead.

It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 features:
Director: Marc Webb
Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man
Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy
Jamie Foxx as Max Dillon/Electro
Dane DeHaan as Harry Osborn
Sally Field as May Parker
Campbell Scott as Richard Parker
Embeth Davidtz as Mary Parker
Colm Feore as Donald Menken
Paul Giamatti as Aleksei Sytsevich/The Rhino
Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn
Marton Csokas as Dr.Kafka
B.J. Novak as Alistair Smythe
Martin Sheen as Ben Parker
Chris Zylka as Flash Thompson
Denis Leary as Captain George Stacy
Felicity Jones as Felicia

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is out on Blu-ray/DVD NOW!

I didn't hate TASM 2, but I laughed out loud a lot during these videos.

The Honest Trailer voice sounds like they just picked a random guy off the street and asked him to read off a script with no emotion in a bathroom stall.

This is gonna be a terrible thread...

Saw it yesterday. Awesome movie. Obviously not without it's flaws, but very enjoyable. Dane Dehaan was brilliant, Emma Stone provided a lot of heart, Garfield was on point, and Electro wasn't nearly as bad as he was made out to be.

I will say though, the deleted scenes on the bluray, most could've added a lot to the film. The Richard Parker scene was beautiful, and the scene between Harry and Peter in Harry's office was a crime to cut out.

At fist cinemasins was funny because he just said stupid things about the movies, now he tries too hard and it went from 8 to 15 minutes top

I really thought this movie was an insult to the characters and the audience. But what I hated most is that Sony didn't stick to their guns with the costume or tone of the first TASM. Instead we got a out of place, convoluted cluster crap of laziness. Screw off Sony. I'd rather watch the entire first season of ultimate spiderman over and over than support the crap ideas you pick right out your arse

It's hilarious how people in the Youtube comments are saying both ASM films are a faithful representation of the comics.

Yes, my favorite parts from the comics are nobody saying "with great power comes great responsibility" and Peter continuously letting his loved ones die so he can not learn anything because he is a selfish, irresponsible jerk.

I'm sorry @MercwithMouth, I know everyone is entitled to their opinions, but this was lousy filmmaking in all aspects, along with 11/10 lazy screenwriting by the typical Orci and Kurtzman. MAGIC BLOOD STAR TREK YES

Don't care. I enjoyed it. It made sense, the characters were (for the most part) well developed, everyone had clear motivations, the acting was phenomenal, the CGI was beautiful. All of those things make for a enjoyable 2 hours.

I flat out refuse to give any of my money to this franchise.

Tobey was not perfect in any stretch, but I absolutely despise Garfield as Parker.

Everything wrong with TASM2? Dang, so they uploaded the whole movie? :O

Nah, sorry, I'm kidding. The movie had some pretty good moments, the visuals were quite nice at times and the costume was amazing. Overall it's still by far my least favourite of all the 2013/2014 superhero movies, though.

But I'm really glad you enjoyed it, @MercwithMouth - don't listen to the haters! (except, you know, me right now ^^)

I envy anybody that liked TASM2.

I'm pretty easy going on flawed movies, but the movie made me feel empty inside.

No worries man...I never need validation to enjoy what I like. Most people around here seem to have a set agenda and formula that all movies must follow.

And the movie wasn't so bad.

Actually, I enjoyed some parts...
