The Lizard's known form, is it or isn't it final ?

The Lizard's known form, is it or isn't it final ?

I think we have our proof, no further transformation.

Hey gang, Morty reporting

I believe the end to the "will the Lizard have multiple transformations"
issue has been settled now that the latest trailer has landed.
There are numerous quick clips of him, the most important being the fight
on top of Oscorp tower which takes place at the end of the film.

Here in this Picture we can see from the side he does not have the large jaws.
That his face is the same as the toys and the concept art.

Honestly I was disappointed by this fact at first, but I came to accept it.
Here's why, It seems like this Lizard is a Ditko version, but also
seems to be somewhat plausibility based. He gains the a tail and a new limb, things most Lizards regrow if they lose them to predators.
It does not change his bone structure and from the transformation debate, his jawline and mouth which would be bone.
Just the regrowable boneless Lizard limbs.
*UPDATE* As a poster has stated in the comments below, he saw that the
Lizard had Limbs of both 4 and 5 fingers in pictures from the trailer.
Well in the new Halloween Costume article it is shown that the right, regrown limb has 3 larger fingers and thumb being much more distinctly reptilian, while the left which Connors already had has 4 normal sized human fingers and thumb and is a transformed human limb.

Thats just my theory, but makes a bit of sense in my mind.
We do see that his lower legs have changed in shape a bit, but I think they wanted to make the face a bit more believable, which is debatable on its pros and cons.
I don't think we will be seeing stages of trasnformations gang.
Either the shots shown at the convention are early CGI that was ditched, or it is from people or Lizards he transforms, In my opinion.
Thanks for reading!

So... If the serum doesn't reform bone structure, how do you explain his arm??? His arm has bones after growing in. It's not just gonna be all muscle and scales. And like you said... His legs also reformed. Bones and all. So not sure how to take this editorial. Cheers!

I'm glad they are trying to be more realistic, but he needs to be a little more Lizard.

Although... You do have to wander how Lizard punches through the top of a car if there are no bones in his arm/hand. But one could argue that he's using his left hand that he already had. Never know.

Conners might not get a snout but maybe his SWAT Lizard servants do!... them being a more animalistic versions which he controls.

That my thinking anyway... im sure there is some interview where Webb said there is no snout.

It's times like this when I just want to walk up to the director and punch him in the face.. What the FUCl{ is so difficult about giving him is damn lab coat?! I can deal with no snout, but without the labcoat he just looks like some big dumb ugly naked lizard...Marc Webb can eat a dicl{, fucl{ him.

The movie looks really good though

I don't think it's the final look of him in the movie because I don't think they would have shown the lizard as much in the trailer as they did if it were. There not gonna ruin all the suprises on a trailer, especially being that the movie has another how many months?

I don't love this look either, but I don't think trying to justify it with pseudo-science is going to help. (I know there are "real" science influences in sci-fi and comics etc. but we all know most of it is bollocks).

Anyway, I think we have the result of a design team/writer/director or whoever deciding they just like it this way or the dreaded wanting to be "different" than the source material (which is crazy to me). I doubt they got a bunch of reptile experts and geneticists around a table and said "let's figure out what a human-lizard hybrid would REALLY look like". I imagine they are busy trying to cure cancer and other real sciency things.

Do you like the fact that the Lizard will turn people into giant lizards? I really don't like that!

BUT you still can't explain the comic con photo. He definitely had a snout in the picture. There's no denying.

Am I the only person who noticed the HUGE difference between the Oscorp buildings in both of the trailers? Pause each of them around the :57/:58 mark and the difference in how the building looks is mad... There was what, 5 months between those two trailers coming out? A LOT can change during the production of a film. ESPECIALLY with special effects... To those saying "He had a snout in the comic-con footage!!" ... It was most likely changed because it just didn't work on screen, I remember it getting a VERY mixed reaction when they screened it.

Also, that scene 'with the snout' from comic-con, is CLEARLY the bathroom cubicle scene which is shown in the trailer and TheSpiderAssassin has just posted up... No snout guys... I'm find with it if i'm honest.

A lab coat wouldn't go amiss though... Even if for a split second when he transforms, then he can chuck it off or something! As long as I get that money shot!!

I agree with ncreb.
I thought the comic con photos proved that he would have a snout but then I changed my mind and thought maybeit just appears that he has a longer snout, but in reality he is protruding out his nose. However, the quick glance of the lizard in the trailer (1:16 mark) as made me rethink my position. He appears to have more lizard-like eyes (opposed to the humanoid ones we've seen from these clips and toys)and they seem to be on the sides of his head (evidence for a longer snout) which leaves me to wonder will we see two versions of the lizard after all? What if at the end, Connors prefers to be in his lizard state and that green formula he has he is using to make others lizards but also make him transform into an even more powerful lizard? IDK I'm just speculating but I think it's pretty plausible.

OR...
He first transforms into the version with the snout.

Then secondly becomes a bit more human with the trailer version.

And then last, he becomes human again.

Because in the trailer when he says: "If you want the truth,Peter, come and get it." He's totally battle-damaged from the Spider-Man vs. Lizard fight!

:)

On his right hand, the middle finger is two fingers merged into one. so like he grows a human hand and it turns lizard but his two middle fingers bind together to make the 4 fingered lizard hand. Maybe?

I hope they just don't pull a "Raimi" and kill off every villain.
