The newest cover of the New Yorker magazine makes fun of all the cast that got injured during previews for Spider Man Turn Off The Dark. The magazine also quotes people waiting in line for the show:

"Outside the theatre, Alaina Schwartz, aged twelve, who had come from Long Island with her family, was asked if she hoped to see someone fall. “Yes! Yes!” she said. “I’m weird about that stuff. Like, there was a roller coaster and it kind of fell backwards, and I was kind of wishing that I was on that roller coaster at the time that it fell.” Her father, Steven, looked concerned.

“I hope somebody falls but they’re O.K.,” her sister Alexa, fourteen, said.

Matt Clements, a cameraman from midtown, had come to the show with his girlfriend. “She wants to see blood,” he explained.

The girlfriend, a lawyer named Carol Barbeiro, didn’t deny it. “It’s like Formula One,” she reasoned. “You want to see the car crash.” She added, “We like to go to Rockefeller Center to watch the ice-skaters fall.”

It is funny. These people understand simple laws of physics and know that they can't fly and gravity hurts when it catches you 30 feet in the air. They are swinging around on wires and what not knowing there is no way to make it 100% safe. The injuries build up and some people have the balls to quit... but the next day someone shows up to replace them. Why? People want their 15 minutes and would probably take a bullet in the leg to get it.
Someone getting mugged and murdered: Not Funny.
Someone being kidnapped: Not Funny.
Someone falling off a building: Not Funny.
Someone risking their life for fame with knowledge of other people getting hurt and continue onward: Funny.
The fact that this play has not been shut down: Hilarious!

If you can't find humor in someone dying in a Spider-Man musical, then YOU'RE the weird one.

Yeah, going to the show just to see someone get hurt is messed up(but the show's producers should "stage" more accidents to make it look like more people are getting hurt and they will probly double their money :::DDD).
