Released via the Official XBOX Magazine website, we have this brand new screenshot from Beenox's The Amazing Spider-Man video game tie-in. They go on to reveal that the March 6th edition of their magazine will feature a five page feature on the game, with more screens and details promised.

Go beyond the movie to experience what it’s like to BE Spider-Man like never before. Set shortly after the events of Columbia Pictures’ new film, The Amazing Spider-Man throws New York City’s brand new hero back into free-roaming, web-slinging action, as he protects the Big Apple from a deluge of unimaginable threats. Experience the new Web Rush mechanic as Spidey twists his way through the NYC skyline with unprecedented speed and grace. The game’s original story also explores beautiful indoor environments, as you’ll encounter everything from skirmishes with everyday street thugs to pulse-pounding confrontations with Spider-Man’s most lethal foes.

RELEASE DATE: Summer 2012.

Agreed, the suit sucks, but those are the best graphics I've seen for this thing yet. If that's gameplay then I'm sold.

I really need to see a new fighting system. Something a bit deeper. That is the only thing I hate about the spiderman games.

What's the game actually about? I haven't been following it.

I hope you can go travel around in Queens like the Ultimate Spider-Man game.
And not only play as Spider-Man, but have some Peter Parker side missions.

Well, for a teenager to be making a costume, I'd say its convincing, as well as the web-shooters.

Let me get this right, they completely rape both Superman and Spidermans suits then got the nerve to [frick] up the color scheme too? and this screen shot is shyt, bet its not actual game play, never is. If this movie turns out to be a bust, im going to buy and break as many of these games as possible.

I have zero problem with the new suit. Looks like spiderman to me, just with a new costume. The shoes are a little strange, I've always wonder about how spiderman stuck his feet to walls through his shoes, maybe they will explain them in the movie, they look like they have purpose. Garfield will be a thousand times better than Toby.

why is a teenager making a costume anyway, I dont care if its the old one or new one, one of pete's hobbied is obviously sewing.

I really enjoy this creative spin on the classic Spiderman costume. It's a great shot of the foots underside, which (negative opinions aside) looks decent. I'm left with the impression that Peter Parker ripped these soles off a pair of Nikes. That's something a teenager with limited resources would probably do, considering the amount of running he's expecting.

Looks good. And I like the costume too. And I can sorta picture how the combat will be by the look of the picture.

haha i just asked if the movie poster had suction cup sneakers on the trailer post. I dont like the suit. I think spidey should just stick to the black suit.

Graphics in movie game tie-ins have come a long way.

The gloves and the shoes make it look more conceivable that a teenager came up with the costume.

So he should run around in what sole-less shoes or in stocking feet. Anyone been to NYC knows that you do not want to walk around in stocking feet, what did Tobey walk around in?

man with the detail in those gloves and soles of those shoes peter's got a thing for details yo

@batlizard Ha ha, good point. I'm just saying in regards to the costume design, I think it looks like something a younger person would design(more importantly wear) and Peter Parker is supposed to be teenager in this, right? So to me it works.

If you asked me would it look better if the shoes didn't have silver trim? Yes, absolutely.

And maybe in the sequels the costume will receive changes here and there, so it may not be for good.

Knee highs and a pair of jumps, or is that supposed to be his boots?
CyclopsWasRight
CyclopsWasRight - 2/1/2012, 4:33 PM
I think you should get to play as Peter Parker in this, and when you want to change into Spidey, just run into an alley and a cutscene will show Peter changing into Spider-Man.
